It was originally the residence of Shi Zhao Wu, a warlord during the Republic of China period. Shi Zhao Wu was notorious at the time and was executed after being defeated in battle in 1933. Afterwards, the residence was returned to the government and is currently preserved as a representative cultural property of Wenshuibang. The blue bricks and antique pavilions of the Joseon Hall are the landmarks of Wenshuibang. The inner walls are engraved with a map of Chengdu and a list of temples from 1962, allowing a glimpse into the city's past. In particular, the relief wall with the seal script characters "Nochengdu" engraved on it evokes a strong historical atmosphere. If you visit Wenshuibang, it is recommended to visit various historical sites such as Wenshuiyuan, Yu Zhenhou's official residence, and Gaoliangliang Tomb in addition to the Joseon Hall.
