Xiaotong Alley... Chengdu

Xiaotong Alley is a historical and culturally charming alley located in Qingyang District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. Originally called 'Renfeng Hutong' during the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed 'Xiaotong Alley' during the Republic of China period due to its narrow alley structure. Before the establishment of the People's Republic of China, it was a quiet residential area, and in the 1970s, it transformed into a revolutionary workers' residence with the establishment of a thermos factory. Although the factory was later closed, it was reborn as the artistically inclined Guesthouse No. 4 Factory, becoming a beloved space for literary youth. Today, it has become a representative cultural street of Chengdu, with unique cafes, bars, and handicraft shops.
