Hidden Gem Cafe at the Foot of the Mountain

Spending the weekend in Changsha was so relaxing! This travel blogger is on the go! This route lets you experience the artistic atmosphere of Yuelu Mountain, the lively vibe of Wuyi Square, and finds amazing photo spots. First stop: Lushan Cafe, nestled at the foot of the mountain ☕. The minimalist Japanese-style decor is perfect for photos. We ordered their signature hand-drip coffee, and the barista patiently explained its flavor profile. Photo tip: definitely choose a window seat; the light and shadow are stunning on a sunny day. A 10-minute walk to the South Gate of Yuelu Mountain! Although I've been here countless times, I'm still amazed by the ginkgo trees at Aiwan Pavilion. I recommend taking the sightseeing bus to the top and then strolling down – it's less tiring and you won't miss the scenery. In the evening, we stayed at the Orange Fruit Hotel near Wuyi Square. The value is incredible! A double room was 400+ RMB, the room was clean and tidy, the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and importantly, it's only a 5-minute walk to IFS! In the morning, you can even take some stunning city photos from the hotel rooftop. The night view of Wuyi Square is mesmerizing; you absolutely must go to the 7mall food court for a late-night snack. I recommend the classic black stinky tofu and Chayan Yuese (a popular tea brand). Remember to order the Youlan Latte with double cream—happiness is that simple! Transportation Tips: Metro Line 2 connects directly to most attractions. It's recommended to download the "Changsha Metro" app in advance and scan the QR code to ride. Food Recommendations: Besides the must-try stinky tofu, be sure to try the beef noodles at Gongjiao Xincun Rice Noodle Shop—open 24 hours, a lifesaver for night owls! Outfit Suggestion: Light-colored clothing makes for better photos in cafes and at Yuelu Mountain.
