Niccolo Changsha Hotel Full Experience As a popular hotel in the city, Niccolo Changsha has a lot of feelings I want to share after my experience. Next, I will introduce it in detail from multiple aspects. 🔵Landscape Being located on a high floor, the view is a highlight of the hotel. It’s just that the stunningness of the scenery is closely related to the weather. It was cloudy when I checked into the river view room, so the stunning view was somewhat reduced. If the weather is clear, the view will definitely be excellent, with the city and river views in full view, and I believe it will be worth the price of the ticket. 🔵Room The room layout is an outside bathroom and an inside bedroom, with a relatively simple style. Compared to the Park Hyatt I stayed at the day before, the decoration was a little simple. Maybe it’s due to the maintenance or decoration style, but the overall feeling is not new enough. The bathroom is not equipped with smart washing equipment, and the room lacks a separate cloakroom. However, the basic living functions of the room are still complete and can meet daily needs. - 🏘️Room type/layout: The layout of external bathroom and internal bedroom, the space planning is relatively conventional, the overall squareness is conducive to activities. - 🛌Supplies/Facilities: It has basic daily necessities, but lacks smart devices and high-end supplies. For example, the bathroom lacks smart washing equipment, and the supplies in the room do not have any particularly outstanding highlights. - 🧹Sound insulation/sanitation: The sound insulation effect is good and can effectively isolate external noise interference. The sanitation conditions are also good, the rooms are cleaned relatively cleanly, and the public areas are also kept tidy. 🔵Public area The hotel lobby is located on the fourth floor like Park Hyatt, but the lobby on the 93rd floor is unique. Unlike some high-altitude hotels that have their front desk set in front of floor-to-ceiling windows with high-altitude landscapes as the background, the floor-to-ceiling windows of this hotel are in the restaurant area. The front desk is far away from the windows and is blocked by the restaurant, so one cannot directly enjoy the view outside the window when checking in. The public area continues Nikko's traditional Art-Deco style, with marble floors and gorgeous chandeliers, with black, white and gold as the main colors, but some areas are a bit monotonous. 🔵Facilities The wellness floor is on the 6th floor, and the guest rooms and restaurants are concentrated above the 85th floor. To get from the guest room to the swimming pool, you need to take two elevators (guest room ➡️ lobby, lobby ➡️ fitness center), which is a bit inconvenient. The facilities and environment of the swimming pool and gym are at a medium level and can meet basic fitness and leisure needs. 🔵 Restaurant The hotel’s breakfast is served at Xinchu on the 93rd floor, which is on the same floor as the lobby, BAR 93 and Yuelang. It is semi-buffet and offers both Chinese and Western menus with a wide range of choices. Although the Wagyu pan-fried buns that I wanted to eat the most that day were out of stock, the a la carte dishes were well-made and tasted better than the buffet. The pan-fried foie gras I ordered in the restaurant the night before tasted pretty good, and the city night view outside the window added a lot of atmosphere to the dining experience. - 💰️Per capita consumption: The average hotel room price is around 2k per night 🔵Location The hotel is located in the IFC and has direct access to the shopping mall, with a very advantageous geographical location. It is very close to Orange Island and May Day Square, and there are abundant dining and entertainment facilities around it, making it very suitable for tourists to travel. - 💗Other tips: There are many popular restaurants around the hotel. If you don’t want to queue, you can choose to order takeout and enjoy it in the hotel, which is very convenient. Moreover, the hotel is close to the subway station, making travel convenient. It only takes two or three subway stops to reach Orange Island. 🔵Service The overall service experience is at an average level. The presence of the concierge department was low throughout the trip. Not only did they not help deliver the large luggage to the room, but there was not even any service staff to help open the car door. Although these are not absolutely necessary services, considering the average price of 2k per night, such service performance is slightly insufficient. 🔵 Conclusion The Changsha Niccolo Hotel has attracted many guests with its unparalleled views from its high-rise location, and its occupancy rate has remained at a high level. Although the facilities and services are mediocre and the prices are relatively high, it is still worth an experience for those who visit Changsha for the first time to experience its unique high-altitude scenery. But personally, after experiencing it once, I might try Park Hyatt or Grand Hyatt next time.
