#Halloween2023 A narrow, elongated limestone coral island on the Caribbean coast of the Kurk Island system in Belize, about 8 km long and less than 1.6 km wide at its widest point. The island has a permanent population of about 2,000, and the population continues to increase with the development of tourism. The main means of transportation to and from Kurk Island and Belize City are high-speed water taxis (speedboats) or small planes. It is a popular travel destination for backpackers and other individual travelers. There are over 50 easy hotels or bed and breakfasts on the island, as well as numerous restaurants and shops.
