Gamcheon Culture Village Review – A colorful village that is not just beautiful Before going to Gamcheon, I thought it would be a beautiful village for taking pictures, just walking around for a bit would be enough… But when I actually went there, it turned out to be a place where you could walk around and enjoy, walk a lot, and “feel” much more than I thought. We started by taking a small bus up the mountain with many curves until we reached the village entrance sign. This place is on a hill. When we walked in, we saw a picture of a candy-colored town lined up along the mountain. Small houses painted pastel colors, bright in every corner. Looking down from the viewpoint, it is really beautiful, like a house in an animation movie. But what I felt was that this place was not built specifically to be a “tourist attraction”. It is a real village with real people living there. The sounds of children playing, dogs barking, and old people sitting in front of their houses are the atmosphere of a community that is still breathing. While walking, we will see small coffee shops, art galleries, handmade shops, and many cute photo spots. The most popular is the statue of the Little Prince and the fox (there are a lot of people queuing to take pictures, so you have to be patient). We chose not to compete, just walked past and took in the surrounding atmosphere instead. In fact, other corners of the village are just as cute, and there are fewer people. The path in the village is a bit complicated, small alleys, up stairs, down slopes. Some places are so quiet that you can hear your shoes hitting the brick floor… I like this place the most. It's like getting lost in a peaceful place but full of creativity. On the way back, we stopped by a small coffee shop to order an iced coffee and rest. I was tired but very satisfied. I didn't think that this small village could make you feel so warm and relaxed. ⸻ My conclusion: • You'll get more than just beautiful photos. • It's a village full of art, peace, and sincerity. • You'll walk a lot, so bring good shoes. • Don't rush to take photos. Try getting lost, sitting, and listening to the sounds around you. ⸻ For me… Gamcheon is not just a place to visit, but it's a good feeling to walk in the middle of the mountains, pastel colors, and the breath of people. 🌈🏡💭
