The Town Hall was built in the 15th century and is a classic example of Gothic architecture. It has a 96-meter-high spire with a statue of the patron saint, the Archangel Michael, standing on top of the tower. Each building is like a carefully carved cake, with gorgeously decorated facades and emblems and carvings representing different guilds, as if whispering the legend of commerce and craftsmanship from a hundred years ago. At night, when the lights are turned on, the whole square seems to be covered with golden gauze, dreamy and solemn. The Tapis de Fleurs Festival, held every two years in August, will lay a giant carpet made up of hundreds of thousands of flowers in the square, which is so beautiful that it takes your breath away.
