The old lady sitting in the attic in the third photo was the only remaining handmade lacemaker in Bruges at the time (you can still find a video of her demonstrating handmade lace at the age of 91 on the Internet) In order to commemorate her a hundred years later, a wax figure was made in her former workshop. (But to be honest, I thought it was a real person when I saw it passing by. If I saw it at night, I would be scared 😅) The Lace Museum is located on a street near the Bruges Square in Belgium.
