A place of historical significance in Berlin

Checkpoint Charlie is a historical landmark in Berlin, and a popular tourist attraction. It was the crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the cold war. Location: Friedrichstraße 43-45, 10117 Berlin, Germany Getting there is convenient with either the bus (M29 or N6) or train (Kochstraße transit stop). The hop-on-hop-off Berlin bus tour stops at Checkpoint Charlie too. There, you will find many exhibits and museums that describe the rich history of the cold war. The outdoor gallery is free of charge. I easily spent 2 hours there reading up on the war, very educational!
