As soon as I arrived at Gubei Water Town, the sound of flowing water, the tranquil atmosphere, and the harmonious blend of traditional architecture captivated my heart. The lack of crowds made it even better, and amidst the slow-moving people, I found myself learning to embrace a leisurely pace. I participated in a handmade lantern-making experience, and it had been a while since I spent time crafting something with my hands. Nearby, children were making traditional kites, and it was heartwarming to see families enjoying the activities together. When I lit the lantern I made and placed it by the canal in the evening, I felt a surge of emotion. Lunch was a traditional meal at a restaurant within Gubei Water Town. The flavors were rustic yet profound, and the warm cup of oolong tea I had afterward left both my body and mind feeling relaxed. It was a short but deeply memorable day.
