Beijing Hotel NUO - Classic Chinese Luxury, Absolutely Stunning After staying at Beijing Hotel NUO for a few days with good impressions, I spent another night at the neighboring Beijing Hotel NUO - Grand Building. Compared to the Western-style NUO, the Grand Building's decor is full of Chinese charm, exuding strong national pride from inside out. The lobby exhibits many cultural relics, including Qi Baishi's authentic masterpiece "Ink Shrimp." The open-air lounge area features life-size replicas of the Twelve Zodiac Bronze Heads (see pic 7). The Grand Building is slightly more expensive than NUO. Recently, NUO costs around ¥1000/night, while the Grand Building is about ¥1500/night. Standard rooms at the Grand Building are 28㎡, compared to NUO's 46㎡. Facilities are similar, but the Grand Building maintains better room cleanliness. Overall, it's definitely full marks recommended, given its cultural heritage and historical status.
