Beijing Marriott Hotel JINMAO Palace View Room

1. Today I'd like to share with friends this hotel located near the National Art Museum of China - Beijing Marriott Hotel JINMAO. 2. Room review: The photos show the hotel's Executive Palace View King Room and basic suite. 3. The suite has a simple layout with a neat living area lacking decoration, featuring Chinese-style business furnishings like tea tables and desks. The bedroom's king bed is ordinary without footstool, but the window-side sofa is nice. The compact suite eliminates the living room bathroom and features a single-sink bathroom where the tub nearly touches the vanity. The main highlight is the collage artwork in both living area and bedside. Note that some suites have lower ceilings which may block the Palace view - clarify view availability with reception when booking. 4. Compared to suites, the Executive Palace View King Room delivers exactly what it promises - guaranteed Forbidden City views with lounge access, avoiding the awkwardness of higher room categories having worse views. Without a living room, it expands bathroom space so the tub doesn't feel cramped. Though the Palace view appears small in photos, it's impressively large in person. 5. I personally recommend the latter - unless you need to host guests, the living room adds limited value, while the Palace view and price difference are substantial. Also, suites here are hard to book as conference groups often reserve them all, making the Executive Palace View King the more practical choice. 6. Public area review: The hotel enjoys an excellent central location but has relatively simple public areas. The first floor houses reception/lobby lounge/buffet restaurant. The soaring lobby resembles a grand study, with the lounge offering nice night views. The Chinese-style buffet features beautiful diamond bead curtains at the entrance. The second floor Chinese restaurant has decent decor though I'm not fond of its purple lighting. Private dining rooms are properly formal. A very nice hotel overall!
