Beautiful summer Palace

The Summer Palace is an expansive and stunning destination, so be sure to allocate at least 3 to 4 hours to fully explore this incredible site. We reached the palace easily by subway, getting off at Beigongmen Station. Entering from the north side, we were immediately captivated by the charming Suzhou Street and the serene Suzhou River, which set the tone for the rest of the visit. Our journey continued with a climb up many steps to the magnificent Tower of Buddhist Incense, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. From there, we wandered down to the famous Long Corridor, marveling at its intricate artwork and details. One of the highlights was the ferry tour on Kunming Lake, which provided a unique perspective of the palace grounds. The ferry even stops at the iconic Marco Polo Bridge, a picturesque spot that’s worth exploring. For our final adventure, we climbed to the top of the Tower of Incense, where we were rewarded with an incredible panoramic view of Kunming Lake and the surrounding landscape. The Summer Palace is truly a masterpiece of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Whether you’re soaking in the scenery, admiring the historical architecture, or simply enjoying the tranquil atmosphere, this place is a must-visit when in Beijing.
