[World Heritage Site: Ming Tombs and Zhaoling Tombs] Take a leisurely tour of the World Heritage Sites

Zhaoling is the tomb of Emperor Longqing (Zhu Zaitu), the 13th emperor of the Ming dynasty, and is one of the three tombs open to the public in the World Heritage Site of the Thirteen Tombs of the Ming Dynasty. Emperor Longqing died at the age of 36, due to his indulgence in alcohol and sex, and his reign was very short, lasting only five years. The interior of the building is not open to the public, but the exterior and gate of the building are magnificent architecture as a tomb. It is next to the tomb (Dingling) of his son, the 14th emperor Wanli, but it is about 2km away by road, as you cannot travel in a straight line. While Dingling is a tourist attraction, Zhaoling is quiet and secluded, so you can take your time to look around.
