Recommended travel destinations near England: Bath

#EuropeanTravel #UKTravel #BathTravel #UKTravelDestinations If you want to know the charm of England, go to Bath Have you heard of Bath? I didn't know much about it, but I went on a day trip to this city after receiving a recommendation from a local British friend. As the name suggests, Bath is home to one of the best-preserved Roman baths in the world. Bath began to attract people's attention around the 18th century, and royalty and the wealthy used to visit Bath for treatment. The entire city of Bath, England, is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it is known to many people not only for its excellent architecture, but also for being the city where British author Jane Austen lived and the setting for her novels. Since it was a short trip, I had no choice but to visit the main tourist attractions and come back, but my short trip to Bath, England, was enough to capture my heart. I would like to introduce some recommended tourist attractions among the places I visited. 1. The Royal Crescent The Royal Crescent, considered the most famous landmark in Bath, is the best Georgian-style building in England from the 18th century. The harmony of the perfectly symmetrical mansions, the lawns and trees in front of them, and the blue sky was so beautiful. Today, it is said to be used as a hotel, office, and residence. 2. Pulteney Bridge Pulteney Bridge is located on the River Avon, which runs through Bath, England. The scene where Inspector Javert falls off the bridge in the movie 'Les Miserables' was filmed here. 3. The Roman Baths The Roman Baths, a must-see attraction when traveling to Bath, England, is a historic site that has been maintained for over 2,000 years. It was built by the Roman army in the 1st century when the Roman Empire ruled England. It is no longer used as a bathhouse, but is used as a popular historic site and museum. In addition to Great Bath, there were many relics and the history of the Roman Baths, so there was more to see than I thought. 4. Bath Abbey If you've seen all of Roman Bath, I recommend visiting Bath Abbey right next door. Bath Abbey has a history of 1,300 years and is famous for being the place where the first king who unified the seven kingdoms of England was crowned. Worship services are still held there today. There is no separate admission fee, but they accept about 2 pounds as a donation. It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes by train from London to Bath, and about 2 hours and 30 minutes by car, so it's a great place to travel near London. Since Bristol is very close to Bath (about 10 minutes), if you're coming from London, it might be a good idea to plan a trip to Bath + Bristol in England.

The Royal Crescent

[Bath Royal Crescent, the filming location of Netflix's Bridgerton, which is currently popular] Bath, a hot spring city that is great for a day trip from London! I'll introduce you to the Royal Crescent located there. The Royal Crescent is said to be the most perfect crescent in Europe. It is a place where 30 houses are lined up, so people actually live there. The filming location of the very popular Netflix original drama [Bridgerton] was Bath, so I watched the drama with even more interest. It is set in London, but since the setting is the 1800s, it seems like they filmed a lot in Bath. In addition, in the movie [The Duchess], there was a scene where Keira Knightley was walking in front of this place wearing a medieval dress. Just like in the movie, there were many people sitting on the grass in the photo, having a picnic, or enjoying leisure time. I don't know why, but it looked romantic💚 I went in the winter, but I think it would be better to go in the summer because it's warm☀️ #LondonTravel #London #EnglandTravel #England #EuropeTravel #Europe #BathTravel #Bath #RoyalCrescent #LondonSuburbs #SmallCityTravel #SuburbTravel #DayTrip #TrailTravel #HotSpotTravel #HotSpotRestaurant #royalcrescent #bath #london #england #NextTimeHere#WinterTravel#2019Travel#LifeShotSpot#LifeTravelDestination#YearEndTravel#CityTravel

Sally Lunn’s Historic Eating House & Museum

[Bathburn Original Restaurant, Sally Lunn's Houses] Sally Lunn's Houses is the oldest bun restaurant in Bath, operating for over 330 years. It is the oldest building in Bath and the oldest in England. Also, Jane Austen, the author of Pride and Prejudice, ate and wrote on the second floor of Sally Lunn. So, I think there is no tourist in Bath who does not visit Sally Lunn☺️ You can enjoy tea or a simple meal at Sally Lunn. However, because it is so famous, there is always a waiting line... 🥲 I went around 2pm, which is an ambiguous time, and waited for about 15 minutes to get in. (However, I waited 40 minutes just to order food and get out... 😅) Photos 1 and 2 📍Lemon curd bun + black tea: £16.46 I like refreshing and sour things, so I ordered lemon curd bun and black tea. The taste was not bad. The bun was chewy and soft, befitting its hundreds of years of history, and the lemon curd on top was sweet and sour, and the grainy texture was really nice to chew on🍋💛 The black tea didn't have any special taste, it was just ordinary☕️ Photos 4 and 5 📍Interior The interior is very cute. Doesn't it look a bit like the house where Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs live? The seating was also a bit cramped, just like any other European cafe, with many tables cramped together. Whenever I see a European cafe, I think, "These guys are bigger than us, so why do they always make the seating so cramped?" ㅎㅎ +) Sally Run Museum Sally Run has a long history, so it has a cafe (restaurant) and even a museum inside. However, we couldn't go because we had a tight schedule and had to eat and leave right away, but I recommend that you take your time and visit the museum👍🏻 Photos 6-9 📍Fairytale-like exterior The exterior is just as fairytale-like and cute as the interior😍 Thanks to that, we took pictures while waiting and didn't get bored~ #LondonTravel #London #EnglandTravel #England #EuropeTravel #Europe #BathTravel #Bath #LondonSuburbs #SuburbsTravel #HotSpaTravel #HotSpaRestaurant #NewYearTravel #TrainTravel #EatStargram #NowMenu #FoodConquest #NewYearTravel #happynewyear #2019Travel #LifeTravelDestination #YearEndTravel #WinterTravel #FoodExploration #SafeTravel #HappyNewYear #CityTravel

Bath

[Train trip to Bath, a hot spring city near London♨️🚞] Bath, a hot spring city in England, is an hour and a half away by train from London Paddington! Who knew you could enjoy the romance of train travel in England!?🚞🤍 Bath is a small city, so you can see all the tourist attractions in one day~ Photos 1-4 📍Pulteney Bridge The bridge that Javert fell from in the movie Les Miserables is Pulteney Bridge! It was fun even though I had a vague memory because it was such a beautiful scenery combined with the shadows reflected in the water. (They say it's much prettier at night🌚🌙) And I walked under the bridge and saw green grass in winter!! Looking at photo 4, it's so green and pretty that you'd think it was summer🌱💚 Photos 5 and 6 📍Bath Cathedral Bath Cathedral is located right next to the Bath Roman Baths (Roman Baths). I couldn't get a ticket to the Roman Baths because I couldn't get one🥲 It's a must-visit tourist attraction when you come to Bath.....ㅠ So I looked around the cathedral with regret. The building still retains its medieval atmosphere, and the sunlight shining on it made its unique colors even prettier~ Photos 8 and 9 📍If you come to the hot spring city of Bath, you must try the hot springs♨️ The long-awaited hot springs!! It's famous for its hot springs, but in fact, there are almost no reviews of hot springs by Koreans.. maybe not even one.. I searched on Google and found this place that was the most famous and reasonably priced, and it was so popular that I had to wait 2 and a half hours??! 🤬 But we were indomitable Koreans! We waited and went to the hot springs~ ✌🏻(Photo 8 is the waiting photo..) But the result was very satisfying💛 Even in the cold and windy European winter, my annoyance from waiting to get into the rooftop hot springs melted away🥰 The outside air was cold, but my body was warm. Isn't this the taste of a real outdoor hot spring?!🤍 You can wash up here, take the train, come back to your accommodation, and lie down right away, so it's very refreshing~ I'll briefly organize the hot spring information☺️ 📝 thermae bath spa ✔️ New Royal Bath - Main Spa - Usage price: £36 - Usage time: 2 hours (including washing time) - Towels, gowns, slippers provided - Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in the shower room - You must bring your own swimsuit - Reservations are only possible for groups of 8 or more and those using spa packages - Photo shoot🚫(This is actually a fatal flaw for professional Instagrammers, but I still highly recommend it👍🏻) ❗️Honey tip - Go early and enter during sunset time, and watch the sunset while taking the hot spring on the rooftop (Consider the waiting time and go early) - Wait 2 and a half hours during peak season at the end of December (Pay an additional £20 for early entry..🤑) #London travel #London #UK travel #England #European travel #Europe #Bath travel #Bath #London suburbs #Suburb travel #Hot spring travel #Hot spring restaurant #New Year's travel #Train travel #Hot spring #Spa #spa #New Year's travel #happynewyear #Next time here #2019 travel #Life travel destination #Year-end travel #New Year's #Vacation travel #Winter travel #Safe travel #Happy New Year #City travel
