Phu Khao Thong pagoda was built during the reign of King Nangklao, imitating Phu Khao Thong in the Ayutthaya period and completed during the reign of King Chulalongkorn. It was given the name "Suwannabanphot" and is 77 meters high. On the top of Suwannabanphot is the pagoda containing the relics of the Lord Buddha that were excavated in Kapilavastu and proven to belong to the Samana Kodom, which was a share of the Sakya dynasty because there is an inscription on it.
