Wat Yannawa, Bangkok

Wat Yannawa is located on Charoen Krung Road, near Sathorn Bridge, on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. In the past, this area was a port for foreign ships to trade, especially Chinese junks. The temple therefore built an ancient Chinese junk building as its identity, and there is a statue of King Rama III who decorated a junk to trade with China. It is conveniently located in the temple, and behind the temple is a sanctuary where aquatic animals can be released. #WatYannawa #VisitBangkok
