#Bangkok attractions 📍 History Wat Krut is an ancient temple since the Ayutthaya period, according to the French ambassador's memorandum sent in 2216 and was renovated by the Prince of the Palace in 2325 before being promoted to the status of an ancient royal temple on the banks of the Mon Canal.  ⸻ 🏛️ Architecture and sacred objects • The old Ubosot in the late Ayutthaya style enshrines Phra Phuttha Thonburi Si Sin Samut Satsada (Luang Pho Krut) and Luang Pho Pak Daeng, believed to bring good fortune.  • Inside the temple, there are also Phra Parinirvana, Phra Pang Pa Lai Lai, and Luang Pho Dam, reflecting art from the Ayutthaya period to the early Rattanakosin period.  • The stairs to the church have arches and pediments carved with Garuda.
