Sanskrit Sounds Purify the Mind: A Quiet Day at Indra Vihan Monastery

#Bangkok Attractions As the morning light rose over Bangkok, I arrived at Wat Indrovihan on the outskirts of the city. This Buddhist temple is famous for enshrining a 32-meter-tall standing Buddha. Its golden figure can be seen pointing to the sky from afar. The temple is filled with smoke and the atmosphere is peaceful and solemn. I first paid homage to the standing Buddha, feeling the shock brought by its huge figure. I silently prayed in my heart and felt particularly peaceful. Afterwards, I strolled through the temple courtyard and admired the exquisite reliefs on the walls. The Buddhist stories on the reliefs seemed to whisper ancient wisdom in my ears.
