#NewYearNewTrip The “Up-RICE-ing” event at TCDC Bangrak is an exhibition that opens up the world of Thai rice, gathering many varieties of rice from all over the country for us to taste and experience the different flavors in each growing area. This shows that each type of rice has its own unique characteristics. In addition to tasting rice, there is also a zone of fermented rice water that lets us try smelling the rice, allowing us to better understand the complexity of rice flavors. This event also presents the Rice Flavor Wheel, a wheel that helps identify the flavors and aromas of each variety of Thai rice, similar to those used in the coffee and wine industries. And finally, the Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream menu, served with 3 types of sauces: Panang, Green Curry, and Tom Kha. The flavors are strange but go together very well.
