However, the recommended one is hidden deep within the market zone, commonly referred to as 'Wat Klang'. It's not visible from the entrance and requires walking through the market to the canal side. ☕ Calling it a 'cafe' might be a stretch since it's an 80-year-old (opened in 1942) traditional coffee shop with a vintage atmosphere. Regulars, including elderly patrons, come here for breakfast, coffee, reading newspapers, and chatting. 📸 Besides being a retro coffee shop that still exists in the digital age, its main selling point is the canal view with a distant sight of Phra Phutthathamkaya Thepmongkol. This spot is perfect for photographers, with the canal and boats serving as props to highlight the statue. A zoom lens is recommended. ☕ The menu includes simple yet delicious items like toast, soft-boiled eggs with black coffee, iced black tea, or iced traditional coffee, starting at just 15 baht, which is rare nowadays. ⏱ Open daily except Monday, from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. 🚗 Parking is available at Wat Klang, but it can be challenging during the morning market.
