The National Museum of Royal Barges

The National Museum of Royal Barges is located at the mouth of the Bangkok Noi Canal in the Bangkok Noi district. The museum showcases eight significant royal barges: Suphannahong Royal Barge, Anantanakkharat Royal Barge, Anekkachatphuchong Royal Barge, Narai Song Suban King Rama IX Royal Barge, Krut Hern Het Royal Barge, Krabi Prab Muang Marn Royal Barge, Asura Vayupak Royal Barge, and Ekachai Hern How Royal Barge. Originally, it served as a dockyard or storage for royal barges, overseen by the Bureau of the Royal Household and the Royal Thai Navy. During World War II, the dockyard and some of the royal barges were damaged by bombings and remained in a deteriorated state for many years. 📍The National Museum of Royal Barges ▫️80/1 Arun Amarin Road, Arun Amarin Subdistrict, Bangkok Noi District, Bangkok ▫️Open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ▫️Admission fee: 20 THB for Thais, 100 THB for foreigners.
