The Standard is a luxury hotel brand from America with a unique style. The first step into the hotel, you will feel the fun and out of this world. The decoration in every area, from the elevator, lobby, to the hallway, gives a surreal and unusual feeling. While most luxury hotels have a dignified image, this hotel chooses to be flashy without any boundaries. Whether you are an art lover, interested in interior design, or a tourist who wants to stay in a good hotel and want beautiful pictures, you will definitely enjoy the experience and appreciate the details of the decoration here. The Standard Bangkok is a Staycation that you should try at least once. One night in a room starts at around 8,000 baht, which is quite expensive, but it is an experience that can only be found here. The hotel's lobby is on the 4th floor. When you walk in, it feels like an art museum. The decoration uses warm colors and beautiful curves contrasting with the staff wearing cool pastel green suits. When you check in, you will receive a keycard in a brochure with a picture of the MahaNakhon building, along with complimentary vouchers for various restaurants in the hotel and a ticket to go up to Sky Beach on the roof of the building. Go up a little further to the 6th floor and you will find a swimming pool. It is an outdoor pool that is beautifully decorated, giving a fun tropical feel. It doesn't feel like you are in Bangkok at all. Those who like taking pictures must come to the swimming pool. It is definitely fun. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is that the walkways are decorated in bright colors, using different colors on each floor. For example, the lobby is yellow, the elevator is green. When we went up to the 12th floor where we stayed, it turned red. Let's take a look at the room. The Standard King room that we stayed in is like this. The room is spacious, adding a sense of openness with floor-to-ceiling glass. We saw a full view of the Sathorn city area. Our room was decorated in orange tones. The interior and furniture that we chose were very cute, especially the corner table. This corner is very beautiful. The hotel's breakfast is a menu that you can order. It comes as an a la carte dish, but you can order as much as you want. The menu has a variety of dishes, from noodles, yakisoba, American breakfast, salmon & cold cut. Each dish is considered to be made with good quality and looks delicious. I personally like the hotel breakfast here a lot. It is delicious and you don't have to get up to get it yourself. Guests who stay at the hotel will receive a voucher to go up to the sky beach, the rooftop of the MahaNakhon building. (Normally, the fee to go up the building is around 900 baht) It is limited to after 7 pm when there are fewer people. This is the highest viewpoint in Bangkok. The view is magnificent and you can see the whole city.
