Bangkok City Walk | A Dopamine Taste Bud Journey through Thailand's Markets

🇹🇭Bangkok·Thailand What else besides sunshine and beaches made you fall in love with this bustling city at a glance? For me, it's the various local Thai pastries and tropical fruits that are quintessentially Thai. Whenever I arrive at a destination, I like to look for places that embody the unique local atmosphere of the city—the local markets. 👍Highly recommended: 🌟The local market in the early morning is the best place to experience the local atmosphere. Since we stayed at the Bangkok Surawongse Marriott Hotel, we asked the lobby staff for the nearest local market. The market is just across the street and two turns away from the hotel (I forgot the specific name of the market 😭), with local stalls and carts along the street offering a variety of tropical fruits, colorful Thai pastries, and breakfast options that look super appetizing!! Perfect for someone like me who loves both markets and dopamine-inducing food. I shopped from one end of the street to the other and came back fully loaded—nice— 🍽Dining recommendations: 🦀For lunch, we checked in at the highly recommended Keng Hing restaurant seafood restaurant (Central World branch) for their curry crab. The taste of their curry crab will definitely whet your appetite, it's so good with rice! I had two big bowls of rice! 🌃In the evening, take a boat ride on the Chao Phraya River. A 30-minute ride for 6 RMB offers a tour of riverside attractions and the chance to admire Bangkok's bustling river lights at night. ⛴️The boat trip ends at Asiatique The Riverfront night market (Bangkok Riverside Night Market) 🎡 This is the largest night market in Asia, and the Ferris wheel at the Bangkok night market is one of Bangkok's landmarks. Here you can find a variety of food, bars, music, traditional handicrafts, Thai traditional clothing, etc., attracting young people from all over the world to play. 🍽Dining recommendations: For dinner, we checked in at the Rose Wood restaurant (formerly known as Fire & Dine restaurant Fire & Dine). Their Thai and Italian fusion dishes are very delicious, and the restaurant offers a view of the distant Ferris wheel. There's also a resident singer in the restaurant, creating a unique musical atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a cocktail with friends. 🍍After dinner, you can stroll around the riverside night market, enjoy the beautiful night view, and feel the cool breeze. And of course, to end this wonderful day, you should have a bottle of refreshing pomegranate juice and a bag of chilled perfume mini pineapples.
