Gunung Payung Beach easily became our absolute favorite in Uluwatu, Bali! Why? Because it's just so incredibly beautiful, truly the most stunning discovery of our trip.
The Journey to Paradise
The adventure begins with a descent down a staircase, and even the entrance to these stairs is incredibly picturesque! As you pass through, you'll reach a viewpoint offering endless ocean views that stretch as far as the eye can see.
Continuing right and walking down from the viewpoint, the path is quite manageable. Looking down at the sea from this elevated perspective, you'll immediately notice how gorgeous and pristine the water is.
Secluded Beauty & Hidden Gems
What makes it truly perfect is how few people are there – it felt like our own private paradise, just perfect for us! I recall the phone signal wasn't great on the beach, but honestly, I think that's a huge plus! It allowed us to be completely present and focus entirely on the breathtaking beauty right before our eyes, without any distractions.
If you walk further right along the beach, you'll discover a hidden cave, which also makes for some fantastic photos! We spent a wonderfully relaxing afternoon just unwinding on this beautiful beach.
