It is one of Japan's largest stone chamber tombs, built by stacking 30 huge stones. It is called Ishibutai (Stone Stage) because the top surface of the exposed ceiling stone is flat. It is unclear whose tomb it officially belongs to, but there is a theory that it may be the grave of Soga no Umako, as his garden was located nearby.
