Tainan-Xindian is the first to try the chain of high-quality barbecue from Taichung: Cha Liu Barbecue Hall

The famous Taichung barbecue restaurant #茶六 has officially arrived in Tainan. It looks like it will compete with Tainan's local barbecue #炭佐麻里! The Anping Yonghua store where Cha Liu BBQ is located is right behind my house, only a 5-minute walk away. I went straight to the store and asked at the counter. It was easier to make an appointment than online or by phone. 11:45 noon on weekdays is a good time. The predecessor of Cha Liu was #Fu Lin Hong Kong-style tea restaurant. After the renovation, it uses a peacock blue tone with a hint of emerald, matched with golden window grilles, which looks calm, elegant and restrained. The decoration and furnishings are also very simple. Although it does not have the luxurious style of gold and splendor, it has a temperament route. Five of us ordered the "Premium Beef" and "Fenghe Pork" set meal for two. The portions were quite large, especially the second pot of salmon, tofu and miso soup, which had so much ingredients that I was shocked! In addition to the two main dishes of beef and pork, there are also chicken, duck, seafood, yam, etc. Even the vinegar drinks are big cups. We are really not being polite. Although we ordered a $1980 affordable set meal for two, the quality of the meat was not bad, with basically no disappointments. It tasted quite tender after being grilled a little. Although it was marinated, the braised meat was delicious. But what impressed me the most was the squid. It tasted like the old-fashioned grilled squid, fresh, fragrant and delicious! The desserts after the meal were also very thoughtful, including almond tofu, strawberry shaved ice, and chocolate cake with extra thick milk cap. When the shaved ice was served, I thought it was pork belly slices. The oven is off. It's so funny, but it really looks like it! Overall, it was a good experience with high quality and service.
