New Zealand Road Trip, Akaroa

🇳🇿 Another destination for travelers worldwide who want to visit this country at least once in their lifetime is "New Zealand." New Zealand, also known in the Maori language as "Aotearoa," which means "Land of the Long White Cloud," is a country located in the Pacific Ocean, isolated from other countries. Australia is the closest, but still 2,000 kilometers away, separated by the Tasman Sea. New Zealand consists of two large islands. On this trip, we chose to visit only the South Island, spending the night there and sleeping in a campervan. This was our first experience driving a campervan over 7 meters long... so exciting! 🤩 New Zealand is almost half the size of Thailand, with a population of only 5.3 million people and a population of 23 million sheep. It's no surprise that most of the people here are farmers, yet their per capita income ranks 23rd in the world. Today, we set off just 13 kilometers southeast of Christchurch and stopped for lunch at SUPER restaurant in Lyttelton, a small harbor town on the bay. The town has a population of only 3,200, and most houses are situated on hillsides offering stunning sea views. We then traveled to Akaroa, approximately 80 kilometers away. Akaroa is a small town on the bay with a history dating back to the 1830s, during the British and French colonial period. Akaroa covers an area of ​​approximately 2 square kilometers and has a population of only 780.
