How to get to Machupicchu Village (poor version)

However, that route costs money, so if you want to go cheaper, you can take a shared van from Cusco to the hydroelectric power plant (Hidro Electrica) and then walk 11 kilometers on the railroad tracks. It takes a lot of time and energy, but it's rewarding with spectacular views and adventure.
