Nang Chi Chotikaram Temple
Wat Nang Chi Chotikaram, Bangkok
🙏 It is one of the beautiful temples on the Thonburi side with a long history. It is assumed that the temple was built in the middle of the Ayutthaya period. According to legend, Mae Im, the daughter of Chao Phraya Phichitchaimontri, fell ill for no reason. Chao Phraya Phichitchaimontri dreamed of a white-robed nun who told him to make a vow that if his daughter became a nun, she would be cured. When Mae Im recovered, he fulfilled his vow by having his daughter become a nun and built this temple. The architecture of Wat Nang Chi is a mix of Thai and Chinese styles.
💐 The roof of the chapel has no gable, raka leaves, and swan's tail. Inside, there is a principal Buddha image in the Samadhi posture (Luang Pho 4 Directions) surrounded by many other Buddha images in various postures. Behind the principal Buddha image is a reclining Buddha image. It is an unusual and beautiful principal Buddha image at the same time. Inside, there are also murals of the gathering of gods.
🐘 The Vihara Inside, there are The Buddha in the forest named Luang Pho Duang Dee (Phra Wednesday) with the Erawan elephant that pays homage

Little Venice in Bangkok
It's like I'm in a little Venice! These are the associations I had when I came to the area of Bangkok called Phasi Charoen.
What does this have to do with Venice? First of all, the river channels that cover the entire area and long-tailed boats that can be compared to Venetian gondolas. And of course there are a lot of cute bridges that are thrown across the channels. This place is definitely worthy of your attention! 👍

Wat Kamphaeng Bang Chak, Phasi Charoen District
Wat Kamphaeng Bang Chak, Phasi Charoen District
This is an old temple on the banks of Khlong Bangkok Yai.
It is said that it was probably built in the late Ayutthaya period.
Inside, there are original murals of the Ten Lives of the Buddha
and paintings describing events from that era, such as the image of Fort Pong Pachamitr during the time when trade with foreign countries was prosperous.
The principal Buddha image is called Luang Pho Busarakham, and it is a Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya attitude.
Next to this temple is Khlong Bang Luang Floating Market
This is a market that collects art works and is an artist's home.
To get there, take Phetkasem Road. The alley is quite narrow but can pass each other. There is parking around the temple, but not much. However, you can come by boat.

Worship and pay respect to Luang Pho Phong at "Wat Khuhasawan Worawihan"
#tripmission Today, we will take you to worship and make merit at Wat Khuhasawan Worawihan, along Khlong Bang Luang or Khlong Bangkok Yai, Khuhasawan Subdistrict, Phasi Charoen District, Bangkok.
First, let's learn about the history and background of "Wat Khuhasawan". Wat Khuhasawan Worawihan was originally called "Wat Sala Si Na". It is an ancient temple built since the time when Ayutthaya was the capital. However, there is no evidence of who built it.
▪️ What remains and shows that it is an object from the Ayutthaya period is the wooden carved pediments on both the front and back of the ordination hall.
▪️ The wings of the small pediments along the roof, with two levels on each side, are the work of craftsmen from the Ayutthaya period. The sima leaves are a pair of sima leaves made of red sandstone.
▪️ The work of craftsmen from the late Ayutthaya period. The sima arches were added later.
In the original form, the sima leaves were placed on a cement pedestal only.
▪️ Later, King Rama I ordered To renovate and establish it as a third-class royal temple, Worawihan type
▪️ and change the name of the temple from Wat Sala Si Na to
"Wat Khuhasawan Worawihan" according to the evidence certifying the temple's condition from the Buddhist Religious Sites Division, National Office of Buddhism, it appears that this temple was established
and received the Visungkhamasima in 2320

Wat Kamphaeng Bang Chak, pay respect and ask for blessings from "Luang Pho Busarakham"
#tripmission Today, let's focus on the merit-making. We are at Wat Kamphaeng
(Wat Kamphaeng Bang Chak) to pay respect and ask for blessings from the Buddha image "Luang Pho Busarakham". This temple is a temple of the people under the Mahanikaya sect, located in Pak Khlong Phasi Charoen Subdistrict, Phasi Charoen District, Bangkok.
There is no clear evidence of when Wat Kamphaeng Bang Chak was built. It is stated that the temple was established in 2367 and received the royal charter of the boundary markers in 2393. It is assumed that it has been in existence since the Ayutthaya period. It is said that Chin Su, a Chinese nobleman in the Left Port Department, was probably the one who funded the temple's renovations. Many major renovations, especially during the reigns of King Rama III and King Rama V, are mentioned by Phra Phisan Phon Phanit.

At October, Shabu Pork BBQ Camping
#Winter travel destinations In this cold weather, what could be better than eating and camping? Today, I would like to recommend Natula, a cafe and bar with a camping zone. The atmosphere and air are great because it is quite outside the city, but it is still considered Bangkok. The food is shabu and pork barbecue, with both meat and seafood. But actually, if you want to order something else, you can tell the chef. The price of the pork barbecue set menu is quite worthwhile because it is quite a lot. The atmosphere is good, there is live music at 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. In this cold weather, make an appointment with friends to go camping at Natula. It is a good choice. I recommend going on weekdays because there are a lot of people on Saturdays, Sundays, and Fridays. The staff are polite and the owner is kind. I recommend it.
The pan is greasy, the queue is stuck until Mars.

After traveling tiredly, the last thing to end with is a buffet 😂😂😂 Today, I'm taking everyone to eat fatty pork pan. Oops!?! We've never seen such a long queue. This is just pork pan, not Tee Noi 😅😅 There were about 10 people in line. We waited in circles and then we ate. This was the first time we had to queue for pork pan 🤭🤭🤭 Here, the price is 219 + 39 baht for refillable water. It's worth it. We also get to eat river shrimp, according to the price. The taste is okay. There are a lot of people.
For those who stop by along Khlong Phasi Charoen Tai, you can stop by to eat. Pork pan lovers, you've come all the way here 555555 But I'm here.

Wat Nak Prok Phasi Charoen
#VisitBangko
Living in Bangkok does not mean we have been everywhere. I believe many of my friends are like this. As a child who has lived in Bangkok, I will take my friends to explore beautiful places or places that are old and ancient to present to my friends. But this trip, I will take my friends to visit an old temple in the Phasi Charoen area. If you mention Phasi Charoen area, many people will think of Wat Pak Nam. But this time, I will take my friends to a temple that is not far from Wat Pak Nam. It is also beautiful and has a past.
Wat Nak Prok was built in 2291 during the reign of King Borommakot (19 years before the fall of Ayutthaya), which was in the late Ayutthaya period. It is a temple that people in the community built together. Originally, this temple was called Wat Pok because it was located in the middle of a garden that looked like a forest covering it. Later, this temple deteriorated until during the reign of King Rama III, Mr. Phuk Sae Tan (Phra Boriboon Thanakorn) and his wife, who were Thais, renovated the chapel and had craftsmen from China paint murals of Chinese auspicious objects and various offerings in Chinese Mahayana art. He also requested a Sukhothai Buddha image that King Rama I had collected from various cities to be the principal Buddha image. The principal Buddha image enshrined in that temple has a seven-headed Naga serpent spreading its hood. It is a stucco figure. The Buddha image is in the Mara-Vijaya Samrit posture. The villagers therefore called it Wat Nak Prok, which is where it is today. #Worship and ask for blessings #Thai temple
Wat Nang Chi, Phasi Charoen area
#VisitBangkok
Wat Nang Chi Chotikaram is a third-class royal temple, a common type, under the Sangha Council, located in Phasi Charoen District, Bangkok. In addition, the temple also holds a merit-making festival called the Wat Nang Chi Procession or the Procession of the Buddha's Relics.
Wat Nang Chi, or the full name "Wat Nang Chi Chotikaram", is an ancient temple. It is not known for sure when it was built, but it is assumed that it was built in the middle of the Ayutthaya period. The co-builders were Chao Phraya Phichitchaimontri, Phraya Ruechai Narong, and Ok Luang Sena Sunthon. During the renovation, Phraya Choduk Ratchasetthi had faith and joined in the renovation. It was done in Chinese art style, decorated with Chinese-style pearl-inlaid ceramics.
When it came to the reign of King Rama III, King Nangklao, there was another major renovation in the "royal style" style.

#Newly opened popular secret bar in Charoen Krung area
🐯🎆 A newly opened modern Thai-style bar located on top of the restaurant “100 Mahaset” under the name “Mahaniyom Bar”. I really liked it when I went in. It has a perfect blend of Thai and local flavors.
The concept of the drink is “Resourceful Drink” that brings out the flavors of each ingredient in every drink, creating a rich flavor in every glass. I ordered 2 of them:
🍐🍸 Pomelo (390.-)
🍉🍹 Watermelon (390.-)
Both of them are very complex. Most importantly, the bartender gave great advice and was able to answer all my questions. He was able to recommend the flavors that I liked very well. This is another good bar.

Explore Bangkok's Iconic Filming Locations from 'The Deception of the Temple'
The second filming location in Bangkok is near Talat Phlu, not far from the new landmark, the Big Buddha at Pratunam.
📍Wat Nak Prok appears at 36 minutes into episode 1, where the main characters begin their temple investigation.
This temple is quite famous in the area, with a bustling atmosphere. When we visited on a weekend afternoon, it was filled with locals praying. The temple also sells amulets and other related products, fitting the 'Deception of the Temple' theme. 😂
Nearby Wat Nak Prok is the popular Big Buddha at Pratunam, about a ten-minute walk away.
I personally enjoy the local market at Talat Phlu, which is also nearby, about a 15-minute walk. Talat Phlu is also a train station with frequent train services, making it a city train market. For more details on how to explore, search for 'Talat Phlu' on the homepage.

Legendary secret Pad Thai restaurant
#Secret shop
Today, I will recommend a secret shop near Phasi Charoen. The front of the shop has no name. It is inside the Suam Pai Restaurant. The shop's name is "Ancient Recipe Boat Noodles, Legendary Fresh Shrimp Pad Thai" on Charansanitwong 13 Road, Khlong Khwang Subdistrict, Phasi Charoen District, Bangkok.
The interior of the shop is decorated in a 90s theme, similar to Plearn Wan. The shop is made of wood raised from the ground. There is an air-conditioned zone and an open, clean area. The highlight is the goat farm on the side for taking pictures. The food is very delicious, but there is a slight goat smell. Those who don't like it can ignore it.

Let me tell you that this cafe is special because you can see and take pictures of Phra Buddha Dhammakaya Thepmongkol, Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen, the largest Buddha statue in Bangkok and the 4th largest sitting Buddha statue in the country.
This cafe was renovated from a boat repair garage. The place is not decorated much. The atmosphere is the same in the area. It is located by the river with a beautiful view.
Good atmosphere, good outdoor seating with a clear view of Wat Pak Nam.
