It is named this because the sand moves when the wind blows and sounds like music. 💬 | Experience climbing Hongorin Els Climbing the sand dunes of Hongorin Els was an experience on a different level from simple mountain climbing. At first, I walked on the sand with a light heart, but after a few steps, my feet sank deep and I realized that it would be a much harder journey than I expected. The sand swallowed my feet as if they were alive, and with every step I took, I felt like I was sliding down again. When even walking became difficult, I took off my shoes and tried barefoot at first, but soon I realized that the sand was hot. 😬 As the slope became steeper, I started to get out of breath. With every step I took, the sand under my feet slipped and pulled me down. It took twice as much strength to take a step forward, and I felt like I would slip down if I let my guard down even a little. However, the sight of the peak in the distance guided me, and I continued to move forward, cheering on the other climbers around me!!✌️ I sat down on the sand every now and then to rest. When the wind blew, the fine sand particles of the desert brushed past my skin, and I could taste the sand crunching in my mouth. However, all of these were special moments that could only be experienced in the nature of Hongo-rin Els. That place is the Gobi Desert Tourist Camp!!👍 After dinner, I walked around the camp and looked at the sky that was gradually getting darker. Bright stars that are hard to see in the city appeared one by one, and before I knew it, the entire sky was filled with starlight. The Milky Way was especially clear, and it looked mysterious like a river of light crossing the sky. The Milky Way seen in the middle of the desert was so beautiful that it was hard to describe in words. It felt like the silently shining stars were enveloping me. Lying on the sand and looking at the night sky, all the noise and worries of everyday life disappeared and I felt like I was completely absorbed into nature~😁 At that moment, the nomadic guide told me about the constellations of Mongolia. Mongolians look at the night sky to find directions and predict the seasons by following the constellations. It was impressive to hear that for nomads, the sky was not just a landscape but an important part of life!!😃 The night sky in the Mongolian Gobi Desert was an unforgettable experience. #MarchTravelSupportEvent The Mongolian night sky is filled with stars. The best conditions for seeing many stars are 1. a moonless day, 2. a cloudless day, and 3. no surrounding light (the more local ger camps without electricity, the more stars there are in the night sky.) I saw plenty of stars even when I went to a regular tourist camp. Lantern photos are a must.

The rainbow seen from the Gobi tour site is really beautiful. I hope everyone who reads this article and goes to Gobi sees the rainbow here. Bayanzag (Burning Cliff) 🇲🇳 | Mongolian Gobi Desert Day 2 Scenery The experience of driving the Mongolian Gobi Desert on Purgong (UAZ) made me feel like I was in another world. The road from Tsagaan Sovraga (Цагаан суварга) to Bayanzag (Баянзаг) was not a paved road, but an off-road that crossed endless grasslands and deserts. Purgong was the optimal vehicle for driving through Mongolia's rugged nature. Although it was an old model, it went forward powerfully regardless of the sand and rocky road thanks to its strong durability and simple structure. The car shook violently and my body was thrown here and there, but the magnificent scenery outside the window made me forget all the discomfort.🛻 Not long after leaving Chagang Sobraga, the red fault cliffs disappeared and a desolate yet magnificent land spread out before my eyes. The sky was incredibly blue, and the land was a mixture of gold and red, creating a mysterious atmosphere. There were nomads' gers dotted everywhere, and sometimes you could see horses, goats, and camels crossing the road!!🐫 When I stopped the car every now and then and looked around while feeling the wind, I could hear the sounds of nature in complete silence. The sound of the wind blowing across the desert, the faint cries of animals from afar, the rustling of sand underfoot—all of these made me feel the vastness of Mongolia with my whole body.🐂 After a few hours of driving, I arrived at Bayanzak, commonly known as the ‘Flaming Cliffs’, which was spectacular with the sunset. The red cliffs blended with the sunset, looking like flames. Perhaps because it was once a place where many dinosaur fossils were discovered, the atmosphere was even more mysterious!!✌️ Riding on the Purgong and riding on the trackless road, looking out at the endless horizon, I could fully feel the grandeur and freedom of Mongolia’s nature.
