The hotel is in a good location. You can take the Shima Railway Bus to Unzen Station. The main reason for staying here is to see the scenery. You can go to the various springs on the mountain to see them. It is more spectacular in the morning, which is a rare view. The hotel's dinner and breakfast are quite delicious, but the dinner time is a bit longer.
The large bathhouse has indoor and outdoor areas. We went there in the morning and there were few people.
There are some snack shops and set meal restaurants around, but I didn't go there. I bought pancakes in the shops.
Unzen is on the mountain. If you take the bus, you must pay attention to the time. It's my first time to take the bus on the winding mountain road😅
If I had to say something, it was a bit annoying that there were no trays for the breakfast buffet, so I had to carry small dishes and glasses around multiple times, and as a smoker, I was a little disappointed that the smoking area was far away. However, overall I was satisfied with the hotel, as it was very clean and had excellent security, and entering and exiting the car park was automatically coordinated.
We were pleasantly surprised to find that we were staying in a resort-style independent house. The dinner and breakfast we ordered were delivered directly to the room. The staff were very friendly and took care of our needs. The front desk staff could communicate in English and Cantonese. It is the first choice for self-driving.
Opt for the run of house room and was assigned a large room to accommodate 2A 2C. Cot and bed rail guard was already set up in the room. Didnt get the breakfast package as it was too pricey. Fortunate there is lawson below the hotel. Public bath was a bonus and my child experience his first public bath experience. Park view room was superb. Parking is outdoor and 2 mins walk to the hotel. Good to alight passengers and luggage first at the porch before parking.
A very successful choice! The hotel is great in terms of location, facilities, service and view! It is a very tasteful hotel. You can see the hotel from the west exit of Nagasaki Station. The front desk is warm and thoughtful. The room is spacious in the area, with elegant view and exquisite facilities. Hot soup is provided on the 6th floor, which is suitable for relieving fatigue. Willing to choose to stay again.

This hotel has stunning views surrounding by famous tourist spots in Nagasaki. Excellent service and the staff were friendly. The room is clean and has a contemporary design. Everything looked new when we were there. Thank you for everything we were very happy during our stay at Traveltine everything was excellent if I come back to Nagasaki your hotel will be my first choice.
Room is clean and spacious except the carpet looks worn out. Breakfast was either typical Japanese or Western, nothing to wow about. Interestingly the room doesn't comes with free bottled water, no power socket near the beds and no luggage stand. There is DIY laundry on the ground floor but feel kinda of eerie doing my laundry there but good thing is the washing machine and dryer are separate so clothes are much drier than those washing machine with dryer feature. For the price I paid, might not consider for my next trip.

Very Good
GGrace AnnAmazing hotel! Room size was one of the biggest I’ve seen in Japan. Close to the tram line that goes to Nagasaki peace park and right in China town. I highly recommend staying here. The onsen was nice too.
MMichaelB84Excellent hotel. Modern hotel with large room size for a Japanese hotel. Bathroom and toilet are separate too. Public Spa was excellent.
Only complaint I have is the lack of hooks to hang clothing in the bathroom.
GGuest UserI arrived in the middle of the night, but the person at the front desk felt very good.
The building itself is old and the hotel is drifting in the Showa period, but the room was cleaned cleanly.
The temperature adjustment of the shower was difficult.

TtomomiWe enjoyed to stay. Hotel staff members are very friendly and kind. Breakfast buffet at hotel are good as well. I just didn’t know about free shuttle from station to hotel at the beginning. If I know early, I did not walk extras and save energy. Otherwise we are very happy to stay there.
KKA CHEUNGHuis Ten Bosch Hotel, standing like a fairytale castle, immediately captivates with its exquisite European charm. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, with lavish details throughout. However, the staff service was somewhat lacking, not being proactive enough, and I hope that this can be improved in the future to provide a more comprehensive experience. As part of the Huis Ten Bosch park, hotel guests can easily enjoy the park's attractions. This wonderful experience comes with a higher price tag. Nonetheless, it remains an impressive stay that blends a dreamy atmosphere, refined details, and a service with potential for growth. If you have a generous budget and seek a unique, high-quality accommodation experience, Huis Ten Bosch Hotel is still worth considering. It's more than just a stay; it’s a journey where fantasy meets reality, and I look forward to hopefully creating even better memories next time.
RRenshengchanDuring the National Day holiday, my husband and I traveled to Nagasaki and stayed at the Universal View Hotel. Although the hotel is about a ten-minute walk from Nagasaki JR Station, it is mostly flat ground, so there is no problem pushing the suitcase. You can buy a one-day tram ticket with cash at the front desk at the hotel entrance. There is a tram stop at the door, which is convenient for going anywhere. The hotel room is spacious, clean and tidy, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and it is also very quiet. I just didn't try the hotel's breakfast and afternoon tea. I will stay there next time if I have the chance😊😊😊
GGuest UserWe are so happy to stay in this hotel!
From the moment I stepped into my room, I was greeted by the soothing warmth of the private hot spring. The comfortable bed provided a perfect retreat after a day of exploration.
The highlight, however, was the delightful dinner experience. The summer menu featured a fusion of Japanese ingredients and Western cooking techniques. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with fresh flavors that allowed us to taste the local ingredients.
Since we don’t speak Japanese. The staff patiently explained each dish, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, the service was exceptional, and the combination of comfort, cuisine, and attentive staff made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hot spring hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway.
EEKKkkNice resort we even visited.
Resort occupied nearly 60% area of Lojima.
3 onsen areas offer without extra charges.
Worth to spend whole day in the resort, dinner is recommended as well.
And of course, staffs are friendly and helpful, higher than normal Japanese standard.
We must book again when we going to Nagasaki
Only one drawback is light show at night, too expensive and nothing special for us.
CcorrianfWe had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and helped to extend our stay when our plans changed.
The room was clean, best very comfortable, and powerful shower.
Room service was excellent, even the room is cleaned after we leave quite late one day.
We did not try the breakfast but they have free coffee and tea packets in the reception and coffee is very good.
Most important of all for me, the sound isolation between rooms must be good because we never hear anyone next door.
