After speaking with the front desk, they helped me switch to a second-floor room, but the 60+ RMB difference wasn't refunded. Even in the new room, the bathroom cabinets still had a strong odor. I had to keep the bathroom door and window tightly shut all night, open other windows for ventilation, and use a fan to increase airflow. Yet, I was still woken up at 6 AM the next day by the strong smell. Prolonged exposure made me feel unwell. 2. **Seriously Unhygienic Bedding:** The bed looked clean to the naked eye, but the bedding felt damp and humid when I got in. The next morning, I had multiple itchy red bites on my lower back and behind my knees, clearly from bed bugs, and I'm still uncomfortable. I'm also furious and worried about potentially bringing them home. The front desk staff was friendly and proactively offered essential oils. But honestly, with two such major issues, I'm being very polite by not reporting your formaldehyde levels and unhygienic bedding (which led to bed bugs biting guests) to the consumer association! The combination of pungent formaldehyde and bed bug bites severely impacted my health during the stay. The value for money is extremely low, I won't be staying here again, so choose with caution."
