Ulasan Huachen International hotel

We stayed in this hotel as the base to see the Colourful Mountains. The hotel is old which is ok but it is not as clean as many guests have described. There was hair in the shower and the bathroom is patched up. Also, I would not recommend this hotel for nonsmokers as we are because there is smoking in the common areas. The entire hotel including the rooms smell of stale smoke which have seeped into the carpets and furnishings. You constantly feel choked up with fresh and stale cigarette smoke throughout the entire stay. That said, this viewpoint may be our problem because we are visitors from a country that has banned smoking in enclosed public spaces and it is what we are accustomed to. On another note, the service and hospitality was excellent and we thank the hotel team for this.

One of the staffs who was having in the morning shift (a male with glasses) was a bit rude in talking and behaving when we checked out early in the morning. Other staffs except him were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the wifi was up and down, a little bit annoying. The heather could not be set as we wanted, so the room became very hot till we were sweating. A bit strange, that we should open the windows while we were staying in this hotel. The breakfast was good and various.

Excellent stay, rooms for families are huge and provided with toys for children. Very nice and available staff. Recommended hotel.

The suite is very nice and spacious with two toilet-rooms, perfect for a family of 3-4 persons. It is quiet during the night, the beds are comfortable, ensuring good night’s sleep. We especially appreciate the food-bath provided each evening, which is so nice after a long day trekking in the national parks. It is convenient for walking to local restaurants. Our stay did not include breakfast, which is not a problem because on the other side of the street there is a small restaurant that serves Chinese dim sums from morning to the evening. The check-in and -out process was easy and friendly. The bell captains outside were very helpful and friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. We had planned to use the hotel’s service to get a car for the next day, however we could not get in contact with the responsible person. It was not a problem, as we asked a nice taxi lady, who drove us the whole day for 3-4 sightseeing sites for 450 CNY. Suggestions for improvement: provide some instant coffee in the room please.

The location is excellent , right at the middle of the town. The room is spacious at the very attractive price. The service is among the best I have come across , as good as I found in a 5 stars hotel

A fantastic hotel. I usually don’t like staying in big hotels as they tend to be soulless, but this one was really special. From the fresh cucumber face mask to the hot soak for your feet, they are incredibly thoughtful and kind. The service is fantastic. They were really helpful to us as foreigners, highly recommend!

Service is excellent .location is great..highly recommended. Bathing water can be hotter though since we stayed during early spring.

Exceptional hotel, good location just 10 minutes walk to department store and food court. In the city which taxi was there all tje time. Service was superb.

A very friendly hotel with most thoughtful small touches in the room which they really try to personalise and make comfortable . A difference from the big hotel chains, really make you feel at home . Always greeted with genuinely friendly smile and some local touches . Memorable stay.

Great price and excellent service!

This hotel was incredible, and the service was really above and beyond. The front desk was so helpful, and the security guard was so kind and welcoming. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in Zhangye.
