"I had recently had two groups booked in this small and cosy 4 star hotel, in Zagreb. Both groups (40 and 50 people) were artist on their tour through Croatia, and have highly praised their stay here, thus I am sharing their feedback. First of all, the hotel is located in Sesvete, which is a quiet neighbourhood, some 20 minutes’ drive from Zagreb city centre. It is convenient for people travelling by car or as a part of the tour group. The hotel, though not new, is exceptionally well maintained, and very clean, with restaurant and other facilities. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. It does have a feel of a small private hotel. The stuff working in the hotel is equally nice and very attentive. Groups had no time for dinners, but have enjoyed 2 big buffet breakfasts, which were also very generous. Given the fact that hotel has many different kinds of rooms, it is highly recommended for couples and families as well. Many thanks to the Manager, for extending her personal welcome to our groups."

"I only now stay at this hotel when I am in Zagreb. From the moment you walk through the main doors and into the reception area, you are warmly acknowledged and greeted. You are a valued guest and are treated like one. Check in process is smooth and seamless. The room is well-appointed and given the time of the year, cosy and warm. The bed wa super comfortable and the pillows offered enough support to ensure a good nights' sleep. The bathroom was spotless and the heated towel rail was much appreciated. If you are so inclined, the mini bar is stocked and there is also excellent room service. The buffet breakfast is sensational- the best in Zagreb. Something for everyone and for all dietary requirements. The one thing that always impresses me here is the fact that all employees and acknowledge their guests- from the room attendants to the kitchen staff. I will alway come back to the Astoria Zagreb. Thank you for looking after me."

"I had been notified by email beforehand that there would be a large event at the bar downstairs that day, but I didn't expect it to be this loud. It wasn't just the sound itself, but the way the bass resonated was so intense that earplugs and noise-canceling headphones were completely useless. It was blaring from midnight until about 3:30 am. It was really unbearable. If you receive an email about a large event, I recommend canceling your reservation as cancellations are usually free."
