Ulasan Yuzawa Grand Hotel

The hotel is close to the train station, but need to walk uphill. Although we clearly booked 2 adults 2 kids in Trip.com but the hotel still charged the extra costs for 2 kids (2 years old) for additional 4400 Yen, pay cash at the checkin counter. The room was ready at 3PM and got the room on 3rd floor with mountain view at the back of hotel. The room was spacious, nice and clean. Staff came for turning down the bed futon in the evening. The breakfast was so amazing and plenty of choices. Overall, we had a good stay. 

The location was great. It is walking distance from JR station with gd dining places. Across the road is 7-11 and walking distance to Yuzuwa Kogen (10mins).

This is our 3rd week of 4 weeks exploring Japan and so far Yuzawa Grand is the best Ryokan Onsen experience we have had. We could have spent several days there it was sublime. We arrived in the morning and the staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. We had been told by the tourist centre at the train station that the gondola wasn’t operational for 3 days; however the Yuzawa Receptionist assured us that it was operating and showed us that they were even able to sell us tickets at a discount. She gave us a map and bus timetable, showing us where everything was. They stored our backpacks for us and off we went exploring and had a marvellous time. We soaked our feet in the foot baths while having a treat before catching the bus to the mountains. We came back to our gorgeous room which had a coffee pod machine in it. Was so nice having a coffee in the morning looking out the window. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful Onsens before dinner. The buffet at both dinner and breakfast was incredible, everything so beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel. The staff are fantastic and the ambiance very peaceful.

The room is so small, and the facilities are not maintained well. Additionally, the price is quite high considering these limitations. The staff is friendly but they can’t assist with restaurant reservations. And the guests are not permitted to use the hot spring and shower facilities on the same day after checking out but this area is primarily suited for snow sports. Considering these factors, the overall value for the price paid is questionable.

Pretty old school hotel outdated furniture but has the traditional japan feel. For myself its a gd experience but will choose another hotel next round :)

One of the nearest hotel from the shinkansen station. Next to the carpark is the skiing area where you can play with the snow. The public onsen are great. One with huge indoor pool and 2 hot and 1 cold outdoor pool. Another one with only indoor pool. The dinner is really good with lot of varieties and delicacies. The room are big with two beds and tatami for 3 and with onsen type bath tub. The checkout time is quite early but the hotel provide free luggage lockers, good for those waiting for the train after checkout.

We can use the free locker for put down the luggages and then we go to ski. The breakfast is awesome. There is the kid friendly hotel because my son can play with many rubber ducks in hot spring.

The accommodation is good, two meals are also OK, the hot springs ♨️ have outdoor and indoor areas, overall I give it 85 points

Yuzawa Grand Hotel is near JR Echigo Yuzawa Station. The staffs are good. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There are massage chairs to relax. The onsen is beautiful. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. In the evening, the staffs will come to lay down the mattress. The bus stop to Gala Yuzawa or other ski resorts is next to the hotel. You can ask the staffs at the counter.

It is a very beautiful Japanese hot spring hotel with very thoughtful decoration and super beautiful scenery. Convenient location, large and clean room. Breakfast is a buffet with a variety of food choices, which is delicious. The spa and hotel facilities are very good. The only inconvenience is that the ski shop's shuttle bus cannot park directly in front of the hotel, and you have to walk a short slope to get to the hotel. The overall accommodation experience is very satisfactory. 

I stayed at the Yuzawa Grand Hotel for two nights during my three days in Echigo Yuzawa. The hotel is very convenient, just a few steps from the Shinkansen station. The front desk service was also very good. The room was a bit old, but very cozy! I slept well every night.
