Ulasan Swiss-Belboutique Yogyakarta

A good hotel in a good location that’s got a weak spot, which is its food. We had a double room that was a great size with a very big bed furnished with comfortable linen. The a/c worked well and was relatively quiet. There was in room tea and coffee and bottled water.  We ate at the hotel twice, and declined breakfast after looking to see what was available. For breakfast, while we were around 40 minutes from the end of service the food looked meagre and unappetising. There was the opportunity to have omelettes etc, but we decided against it.  We ate in the rooftop restaurant, ordering spaghetti bolognese, chicken wings, spring rolls and a pizza. The food took a while to arrive and when it did it all came at once. All of the food was tepid at best and seemed as if it had been waiting to be collected and brought from the ground floor to the top floor. The bolognese was acceptable with the pasta being cooked al dente. The spring rolls had gone soggy and the wings, being just warm, were cooked ok but the sauce they were covered in was sickly sweet. The pizza was not cooked. The toppings appeared to be cooked but the base was raw. The dough was uncooked and inedible. We pointed this out and we were told it could be cooked further. We decided that probably wouldn’t improve it much. The staff offered a replacement, but again we decided that it would take too long and asked for it to be taken off the bill.  The second time we ate at the hotel we used the ground floor restaurant. Once again the food was disappointing. The oxtail soups contained beef that was not tender but tough, although the clear broth was tasty. The pasta of beef Alfredo, which was advertised as containing beef, mushrooms, etc was served with just a few pieces of what looked like smoked beef in a claggy sauce. Again, it appeared as if the meal had been sitting on the counter waiting for the waiters to deliver it to the table and had lost its heat. The fruit salad platter and banana fritters were very good.  Service at the hotel, from reception staff through to housekeeping was very good.  Overall, I’d stay again by I would avoid the restaurants.

I had good stay as my room was well kempt, and windows were directly lighten up by the sunlight. However, in terms of amenities, i noticed that there was no iron and iron board. The refrigerator was broken as well and there was a conmecting door to the other room which i find it odd. Anyway, this experience did not affect me because of the cleanliness and hospitality of the staff. I appreciate them contacting me to ask if they can clean as was in DND mode. Overall, i will still book again in this hotel for another opportunity of business travel

This was a lovely hotel, the staff were so accommodating. The breakfast was good and because trip.com automatically charged me for a four person booking when there was three, the hotel let me have an extra breakfast each day for take away. Highly recommended hotel.

Love the room, hotel breakfast was okay and I'm super impressed with the laundry service! Would love to go back again if I'm back in Yogjakarta

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Swiss Belboutique Yogyakarta! The breakfast spread was great and our stay was really comfortable. Without a doubt, we will choose to stay with Swiss Belboutique when we’re in Yogyakarta again.

Check-In: I arrived at about 11am but the room was not ready yet, so I took a walk around the area. The front desk WhatsApped me that my room was ready at about 2.15pm. Room: Comfortable room, bed, and pillows. Strong aircon. View was of the next building which wasn't great. TV had many channels including ChannelNewsAsia, HBO, AXN, Al Jazeera. Location was okay - near but not quite walking distance to Malioboro (2.6km) and the Kraton (4.1km), which I resolved by taking Grab/GoJek.
