For the cost is very good, there is no breakfast and food wasn’t available in the evening as the pub was quiet, there is a microwave but no utensils so eating out is your best option.

The food we had was really great. I chose pork in creamy cider sauce and it was served with baby potatoes and fresh veg. It was piping hot and the service was quick and efficient. Its almost certainly a restaurant more than a pub. It was busy, tables were reserved. I didnt see any cosy corners or sofas. The accommodation was a different matter. Our room was dated, and in a time warp. It was en suite, but also single glazed. Being right by a busy, well lit, roundabout, it could have done with more insulation from sound and lights. Again, no comfy chair. It did have tea/coffee facilities and a hairdryer. No breakfast, its bed only. I would highly recommend the food, but wouldn't stay the night again.

We was lucky when we stayed for 1 night as a stopover on our way to Cornwall that there was an Elvis tribute on. Staff were friendly. Stayed in a small double room above the pub with ensuite. Just what we needed for a 1 night stopover.

We had my girlfriends birthday here at the weekend I can't even describe how disappointed I was with the food. 2 plates of sandwiches 1plate of sausage rolls, 1 dish of cocktail sausages, 1 plate of samosas,1 plate of onion barges which were overly cooked, 3 dishes of nibbles, 1 plate of chicken *****s and you charged me £450 at £10 a head. I would not recommend anyone to have a function there at the prices they charged for what we got. Especially as the food was taken away half way through the evening we had paid for that so it should have stayed to the end! We were told when we booked it was your food or no food which is fair enough but for what we had was disgusting for the price! We have pictures of the food if necessary!

Pleasant reception at bar. Taken up to room on first floor (stairs awkward - especially with a case). Room seemed OK and if milk needed it was in kitchen adjacent. Bedroom relatively small but adequate, bed a bit creaky but otherwise comfortable. Nice big walk in shower but very low showerhead so not ideal for anyone over 6ft. Breakfast not available and if evening meal required had to be ordered by 7pm as restaurant fully booked. Went out to see what was in Yeovil and ended up eating elsewhere on first night. Did not find out until returning on second day that there was no room service, however managed to get clean towels as nowhere to dry them. Ate in restaurant second night see separate review.

We ordered fish & chips which came with peas,tartar sauce and piping hot,chunky,crunchy chips. The cod was cooked perfectly,with a light,tasty batter. Definitely one of the best fish & chip meal we’ve had.!! The Quicksilver Inn has a great ambiance. Pictures showcase some of the music acts it’s hosted over the the years,it’s cosy,cool with friendly staff.

Excellent good food, very friendly and would highly recommend 👌 desserts are to die for....dog friendly and free to stay in car park if eating in the pub 😀 Beer so good that one for the road is a must...

There are not enough stars in the solar system to rate this beautiful pub when my husband and myself had our wedding reception here on the 12th August 2023. Nothing was too much trouble in the planning and Katrina guided us every step of the way. The food was outstanding and plenty of it. The room was decorated so well and was so pretty. Katrina and Pete we can’t thank you and the team enough for making our special day so much more perfect than we could ever of expected, you all went above and beyond! 🥰🥰

Friendly welcoming hotel with good food. Rooms are clean and comfortable with nice touches like good bath towels, tea pot, fresh milk
