"Let's start with the downsides: Since the family room can accommodate three adults, there should be three sets of towels, bath towels, tooth mugs, drinking glasses, and coffee cups, not just two. Even children or teenagers need their own bath towel and tooth mug. Also, the curtain button was sometimes a bit unresponsive. Now for the positives: 1. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere. You can walk to the South Gate of Slender West Lake, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. 2. The breakfast was good; while not exceptionally lavish, it had everything you'd expect. The coffee came from a machine and tasted great. 3. The terraces on four of the floors are a major highlight! Breakfast is on the 11th floor (top floor), and on a nice day, you can dine on the terrace, enjoying the lush forest view and a distant glimpse of the Qiling Pagoda while being shielded from the sun – a fantastic experience. You can also enjoy the night view in the evening. 4. The hairdryer is a Dyson, and in the lobby downstairs, there's a coffee machine, tea, hot water, and bottled water available."

In the morning, we booked the alpaca wake-up service, and my child was so excited to feed the alpacas. The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety and everything tasted great, highly recommend. There's also a small petting zoo within the hotel, featuring deer, ducklings, black swans, alpacas, bunnies, and more. The only downside is that my child didn't want to leave! We only explored less than a third of what the hotel has to offer. We didn't have time for the hot springs, swimming pool, or children's playground. We'll definitely be back to stay again!"

The first room we got clearly had left over smell of smoke from the previous guest. Also what kind of genius designed the elevator waiting area to be a smoking area? It was a terrible experience coming back from the spa and get drenched in the smoke while waiting for the elevator. The hotel was converted from a century-old vault that had business dealings with the Rishengchang Draft Bank in Pingyao Ancient City, Shanxi, for decades. Given that 'You Xiong' (which translates to 'Has Bear') is a hotel brand under Vanke, the real question is: does it or does it not have a bear?"

There are many bus stops around the hotel, which are well connected. It is not far from the West Gate and South Gate of Slender West Lake. Adults can walk around and get there. Sometimes it feels faster than a traffic jam. The hotel is considered an old five-star hotel. The lobby entrance is not on the main road, so it is easy to miss at first. When checking in, because the room was not ready, I waited for a while and gave a drink coupon for the coffee shop. Take the elevator with the room card. The room is quite large, with a bathtub and shower, which is quite convenient. Stayed for 2 nights and gave 2 servings of fruit, which is quite rare. Generally, hotels give fruit on the first day. Seeing that we took a bath, they also gave us a disposable bath bag, which is very considerate. Overall, the high-quality service made up for some shortcomings in the hardware, and the experience during the stay was still good."
