"Traveling during Chinese New Year, it's been five years since my last visit to Yangzhou in 2021. Back then, there weren't many people. This time, due to the large holiday crowds, Dongguan Street had crowd control measures in place. I tried a few local meals and felt quite accustomed to them. The hotel's breakfast was a mix of Chinese and Western styles, perfect for us who had to catch an early train. There's a mall right next to the hotel, so food and drinks were very convenient. During the Spring Festival, all public buses in Yangzhou were free for those with out-of-town IDs, which was really helpful."

Plus, it's super close to Guanyin Mountain and Daming Temple! The breakfast is really good too, with plenty of choices. It's perfect for a vacation, and the nearby parking lot is one of the few places within the scenic area where you can park shared electric bikes. Getting around on an e-scooter is really convenient!"

It's brand new and incredibly well-equipped with advanced amenities. The service at the hotel is truly exceptional. A big thank you to Freya, Lucia, and Chria for their attentive and kind service. In particular, the duty manager Chria accompanied me from the moment I stepped out of the car, helping with my luggage and check-in, all the way to my room. His attitude was excellent, and our conversation was very pleasant. After I agreed, he also provided a thoughtful introduction to the hotel, which was fantastic. The rooms feature integrated whole-house lighting control and automatic curtain panels. The bathrooms are equipped with high-end Dyson hairdryers and top-tier German Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware, including a remote-controlled smart Villeroy & Boch toilet. The toiletries are from the luxury Spanish brand Natura Bissé. The complimentary mini-bar offers a variety of teas, coffees, and local mineral water. The hardware is virtually flawless. Every evening at 7:30 PM, there's a stunning and impressive fountain light show on the central artificial lake. The hotel's decor also deeply incorporates local Yangzhou cultural elements. The breakfast offers a diverse and exquisite selection. I hope the breakfast service could be a bit more personalized, perhaps allowing guests to order drinks and have them delivered to their table, and for the chefs to be a little more enthusiastic. Overall, this hotel is truly outstanding, with a service attitude that even surpasses many Ritz-Carltons. I am extremely satisfied and had a very pleasant experience."

However, since it's just been renovated, the smell is quite strong, so I wouldn't recommend it for those with babies. Secondly, the service was quite disappointing. We booked a king-sized bed room for two, but were initially given a family room. After discussing it, they said they'd switch us to a king room, and the front desk explicitly confirmed it would be a king bed this time. Yet, when we got up to the room, it was still a family room. On the second day, after checking out, I realized I left a piece of clothing in the hotel, and they contacted me about it. I told them I'd pick it up on my way to the high-speed rail station, and they confirmed it would be held at the front desk for me. But when I arrived, it hadn't even been brought down yet, and I had to wait again. Since I was rushing for my train, I had no choice but to have them mail it to me. For a newly opened hotel, their services really need to catch up."

While hotel can send buggy to pick guests up, for those going to the area for the first time with no clue about the street/shop name, the experience is far from pleasant. Ambience of hotel environment is superb as it was a former residence of rich merchants. But the rooms are in dire need of enhancement - many furnishings such as paint, socket cover… are coming off. With the exception of a few, service quality is wanting. Worst is attitude of reception counter - “couldn’t care less”, without empathy for guests who need guidance on direction. Overall, would NOT recommend staying there; going for afternoon tea to enjoy the ambience is far, far better."
