Xining Hotels with Gym

We are travelling through Gansu & Sichuan and I booked the Mercure as a couple of nights for my husbands birthday. The first room we got was OK, a little shabby and not the cleanest but a nice bed and sofa and the aircon seemed good. My husband took a shower for all of 30 seconds and the bathroom, corridor and toilet completely flooded. So we moved rooms. The next room didn't flood but the aircon was pretty feeble and the toilet cubicle smelled. We didn't complain, having already moved once. This room was an over all improvement. The breakfast was pretty miserable, no coffee and mostly Chinese dishes. I had expected more from a western brand but nevermind, we ordered coffee and food to the room. Plus points - The staff are very nice and friendly, they accommodated us on the new room and gave us some treats as an apology. The bus to Kumbum Monastery is directly across from the hotel and you can arrive there in 45 mins, public bus number 909, 4¥. Starts at 6:30am. The breakfast is OK. There is a free laundry room, we did lots of laundry and it dried over night. We stayed in a non smoking room and it really was non smoking which is rare for China. It smelt fresh and the bedding and towels did not smell of smoke. There were however people smoking everywhere else in the hotel which seems quite common expecially in this province. Overall, I would stay here again but I think the price is a little high for the offering in comparison to some Chinese brands in the city.

The rooms at the Sofitel were spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail in the room's design and furnishings, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. The comfortable bed ensured a restful sleep, and the well-appointed bathroom offered all the necessary amenities. The hotel's dining options were equally impressive. The on-site restaurant served a wide variety of delicious local and international cuisines. The breakfast buffet was especially impressive, offering a generous selection of dishes to satisfy all tastes. I also enjoyed dining at the hotel's bar. One highlight of my stay was the attentiveness and genuine care shown by the hotel staff. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay.

Many hotels have teamed up with Ctrip to deceive customers. I have encountered this many times. There are probably several tricks. First, Ctrip shows that the hotel has facilities and services but cannot provide them. For example, Sanwang does not have WiFi and laundry; second, Ctrip does not show many results when I search for hotels; third, hotel prices change every minute. , jointly raise prices, and fourthly, the service staff did not tell the truth and told lies with their eyes open.

Elton International Hotel, a truly phenomenal experience. After a long tedious journey, its always nice to enjoy a soft bed. Now the service, of two weve interacted with Lisa and David were both really enthusiastic, david helped with luggages and inquirys on covid measures, and lisa provided assitance in hotel service and food recommnedation in the beautiful city of 西宁. Great experience!

I stayed here for night, having left the higher rated Wanda hotel due to a lack of AC and being unable to sleep all night. The room and bathroom exceeded my expectations for 4 stars and were very close to 5 star standard IMO. The staff allowed me to check the room(and most importantly, AC) before booking, which I appreciated. Breakfast was good. I would stay again if returning to Xining.

The hotel is very good and worthy of being under the Blue Ocean Group. Every service staff is very polite, especially Chen at the front desk. Because I placed the order too quickly, I forgot to order breakfast. Chen helped me find a way and sent me a breakfast. It is almost the peak season now, and the hotel is also taking over group tours; but I think their service attitude is very good and impartial, whether it is for individual travelers or groups, which is very good. No matter if there are guests who need to ask questions, they don't look impatient at all. This is really [strong][strong][strong], I will stay there again next time I have the chance.

The hotel is very conveniently located, just a 5-minute walk from Limeng. It has everything you need for eating, drinking and having fun. There are also hospitals nearby, and it is also convenient to get to the state and county highways. The hotel has many room types to choose from. The front desk lady is very beautiful and has good service. You can upgrade the room type for free. There are also many snacks at the front desk that are free. The hotel also provides children's toothbrushes and slippers for free, which is very considerate. The free earplugs and hand cream are also provided. The service is really good. There is also a freshly ground coffee machine in the lobby, which is free to drink. The guest rooms are also very clean, and there are many varieties of breakfast. During the May Day holiday, in order to take care of foreign tourists, breakfast also added Qinghai's special fermented skin, sweet mash and dog urine. I will choose here next time I come to Xining!

I will start off by saying that the room and bathroom were well appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. However, whilst the room was generally clean, when I dropped something that subsequently rolled under a fitted unit, I was pretty disgusted to see the dust and filth beneath it. It clearly had not been cleaned for…well…ever? I appreciate that these areas will not be as clean as the more visible parts of the room, however for a five star hotel, this is unacceptable. I do not expect to find dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust and dirt anywhere in my hotel room. But by far the absolute worst part of my stay was the inability to control the temperature in the room whatsoever. The room was so swelteringly hot that despite the comfortable bed, and everything to go with it, I was almost unable to sleep at all. I do not expect this in a five star hotel(and have never experienced it other than here and at anther Wanda hotel in Hohhot), I pay for luxury; controlling the room temperature is a basic requirement that I can even do in a 50 yuan a night hostel dorm. When I asked the staff at reception the following morning I was told the AC wouldn’t be available until after April 15th because ‘it’s cold outside’. Firstly, I am not sleeping outside, I am sleeping inside, on the 22nd floor, where it is anything but cold. Not to mention it was April, not January, even in Xining it is not that cold. Secondly, as a paying guest, in a five star hotel, it should be up to me to decide if it is hot or cold, not the hotel. For this reason, as lovely as the room, staff and breakfast may have been, I would not stay here again. I checked out and moved to the lower rated Hilton, where I could control the room temperature and actually managed to sleep…generally what the whole point of a hotel is.

The apartment is managed by Xinhualian Sofitel; the decoration grade, service level and hardware facilities are no lower than the Sofitel hotel in the same building. Compared with hotel rooms, apartments have a more homely feel and are suitable for family travel. For business travelers who stay in hotels for a long time, you can also try here for a change of taste. Personally, it feels more cozy than a hotel room. The hotel's breakfast is rich and carefully prepared with some local specialties, which are worth trying. Downstairs of the hotel is the busiest Wanda business district. You can basically find all the delicious and fun things in Xining nearby.

Facilities: A bit old, but for a hotel that was established very early, it is already very good\^O^/ Hygiene: Although the facilities are a bit old, the hygiene is very clean Environment: The lighting is good during the day, and the indoor lighting is also good at night^ω^ Service: The service attitude is good. We wanted a room with a bathtub, but the one we were given did not have a bathtub. After talking to the waiter, the attitude was very good and we were changed. It happened to be my birthday on the day I checked in, and I was given a big cake Really don't believe some malicious reviews anymore (dinner in the Chinese restaurant, the environment, food taste and service attitude are all very good) It is really worth recommending (//∇//) I will definitely come next time~(￣▽￣~)~
