Ulasan khumdan Leqi Youth Hotel

I love the design of my bed, it covers all the beds with curtains for full privacy! The hostel is clean and cool! The host is quite friendly and approachable! For the first timer, the hostel is easy to locate. In front of the entrance, there will be a mannequin of old men (refer to my picture). Take the elevator to level 5 (refer my picture) and you will see the reception. It's nearby to The Drum Tower Xian and Muslim Hui Street!

Initially not as terrible as I had feared despite the low price. The layer of dust I saw when leaving my luggage early (in some corner because there was nobody to talk to) was gone when I checked in later. Place was easy to find (first image, take the elevator to the 5th floor and you're there) and in a very local area. Nice eateries and a small mobile phones and accessories mall turning left then right when leaving the building. Huimin Street and Drum and Bell Towers in walking distance. Free water dispenser and plenty of space in the hostel despite the lack of power outlets at the workspaces. But there comes the problem. The voltage at the power outlet seems elevated, my charger melted and almost caught fire although I used it everywhere else in Asia as well as for several weeks in China already. Other chargers I tried at this place also got extremely hot. They put me in a separate room to prevent another bad review on the potential production of spit, noise, dirt and sometimes even cigarette smoke in the dorms. One bathroom even had a seat toilet. Obviously plenty of smoking in the common area.

Great location, very walkable to the Muslim quarter. Can be confusing to get in (YWCA building, 5th floor) Some people were smoking inside which leads to an odd odor.

Nice hostel. A little bit difficult to find if you are traveling alone and can’t speak Chinese but the neighbourhood was very friendly and helpful

The hostel is in a great location: in between two metro stations and very close to the Bell tower. I arrived at around 10 pm and found the entrance door shut and the shutter halfway down ( and was left like that even the morning: so low that I had to take off my backpack to get in). Long story short, we were let in by one of the guests we bumped into as he was trying to get out, as no one was at the reception ( although check-in is until 00) or was picking up the phone at the number provided. Again, following the guests’s suggestion, we  had to go to and knock on the door of one rooms in order to get someone.. The hostel is kinda run down, it has seen better days.  The reception was dirty with also ash on the floor and sigarette butts. The room was also quite untidy and dirty. The bedsheets I was given were clean but the mattress cover and the duvets had yellow stains on them, and hairs. I found crumbs under the mattress as I was making my bed. The en-suite bathroom has a hole in the lower half which is not great in terms of privacy, and there was no toilet paper. The heating seemed to be off, although it’s January. Although I do understand it’s incredibly cheap and therefore, I was expecting something really basic, maybe even not squeaky clean, here I decided to stay only the one night and change first thing in the morning. 

I arrived there, no one was there to welcome me. I waited 2 hours. I called by phone but they do not speak English. The building was dir and the smell was bad, so I just went to another place and lost my money.

Nothing beats this for the price; it has rooms with AC, and the location is fantastic - right in the middle of Xi'an city centre

Very basic accommodation but the rooms are clean. The AC was turned on at night but it was not always working. The price is fair and the location is good.

The best was the free drinking water available, the hostel is located nearby the bell tower and relatively close to the metro, it's inside the old city. They have a washing machine you can use it for 3 RMB. Unfortunately was full of young Chinese living in the hostel, most of hostels in china are not made for travelers though. It's not the hostel but the people were smoking even in the living room, leaving the door open when the AC was on, and they were very noisy like normal Chinese people, you needed to tell them to be quiet. And, they left the ashes of the cigarettes in the bathroom. I have never seen cleaning the room. But they clean the common areas. They have elevator and fortunately could find it easily.

The air conditioning was a bit broken but it was generally fine.

Very nice host, but the hostel itself has his problems maybe. The beda have no matress which is quite uncomfortable. But for the price its acceptable, also the thermostat is not heating. So in the common area you had to sit with jacket. Good value for money tho!

Good value for your money, but it is not the cleanest one. Bathroom is old and not that clean, and bed neither. Service was okay tho! But be sure to check-in after the check-in time, because I couldn't leave my luggage at the hostel when arriving early in Xi'an with the nighttrain.

For the location & the price in the off season, it is a great deal.
