One of the many things I appreciate about Aspria Royal La Rasante is how thoughtfully the club evolves to meet the needs of its members. These new work pods are a fantastic addition! Perfect for taking a private call, getting some work done between workouts, or just enjoying a moment of quiet with full focus. The design is sleek and professional, with soundproofing that really works – a true bonus if you need to jump into a Zoom meeting or finish some emails without distraction. The lighting and layout inside are also really comfortable and well thought out. It’s amazing to see how the club blends wellness and productivity under one roof. You can go from a training session, to the sauna, to a quick work meeting without even leaving the building. This kind of flexibility is rare and extremely valuable, especially if you’re trying to balance a busy lifestyle. Everything here is top-quality – from the furnishings to the calm ambiance of the common areas. It’s clear Aspria invests not just in facilities, but in creating an elevated member experience. For me, this is much more than just a gym – it’s a real lifestyle hub. Highly recommended.

AVOID, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN Terrible service. You are charged in advance for kids’ classes and asked to commit to a specific time slot—but those time slots are changed constantly, forcing parents to either adapt or miss classes entirely. Today, my daughter was refused entry to her scheduled dance class simply because she is not participating in an upcoming performance—a detail that was never mentioned in the academy brochure when we signed her up. She left upset and confused, and we were forced to replan our entire day around this sudden and unjustified exclusion. To make matters worse, when I tried to raise the issue at the front desk, the response was a dismissive “On ne peut pas vous aider monsieur,” delivered with a half-smile—and that from multiple staff members. This is simply unacceptable. We pay hundreds of euros in membership fees to receive disorganized, disrespectful service. This experience has been deeply disappointing, and I expect both accountability and reimbursement for the class that was denied to my daughter without valid reason.

Excellent country club, family friendly. Also business friendly. You can make business meetings and also family meetings! Swimming pools for adults and kids, and other kinds of sports activities available for all tastes. Old member, I always re-charge in Aspria; before I start my working day/week.

2 nights business trip, I thought it was a nice place to stay having stayed in many others in Brussels. The hotel rooms are modern and great beds, built in the old part of the building. Complimentary access to the excellent gym facilities and pool is great. Restaurant is quite informal/ cafe vibe but my food was excellent. Breakfasts are basic but good and eggs to order. Overall really enjoyed the stay and felt it was good value.

I strongly advise new Brussels expats not to go to Aspria Royal la Rasante. A royal 246 euros for a below-average fitness club with poorly maintained inventory, unfriendly staff and poor customer service. The area for children is the saddest. A kind of storage room with a few loveless toys.

I am very very disappointed in the service of this hotel. We booked based on the fact that it was a 'spa' hotel. However, this was not a spa hotel at all. The main spa was getting renovated and I had to settle for a kiddie pool with jets and a small sauna pod that you had to walk outside in winter to get to. This is not the service I expect with paying over 100 euros a night and the reception saying there is nothing they can do. Utterly disappointed

I stayed at the Asparia Brussels Royal La Resante Hotel between 9th - 11th May 2023 in room No.8. I was extremely disturbed during my sleep due to the ongoing road works right outside my window, which started at 7.28am on one morning and a similar time the next morning. The room was shaking and the noise was extremely loud due to the works. This is totally unacceptable and I would not expect any work to take place before at least 8am. The hotel should have ensured this. I booked my stay on the 5th of May. However it was not stated anywhere that you were going to have road works taking place during my stay, and I was not informed that there would be any noise at reception upon my check in. This again is unacceptable, and the staff should at least warn you of this. If I had known this, I would have stayed somewhere else, especially as I had some very important work meetings and this added to the stress. I made a complaint during my stay at the hotel reception, but only received a verbal sorry. In my follow up communication with the hotel management, the hotel has failed to recognise that it is their responsibility to ensure that guests have a pleasant and undisturbed stay at the hotel, although as the arrangement was between the hotel and the road works company, they are ultimately responsible for ensuring that any work did not take place before 8am. I did not see any staff go out at 7.30am and ask the workers to stop the work as it is before 8am - ultimately this is what should have happened. The hotel clearly lacks in good customer service and just tried blaming the issue on someone else. Would not stay here again.

The review is about the fitness facility. Unfortunately the quality level substantially decreased over the years. Classes too crowded, queues at showers and changing room, no spots in the garage, not adapted rewording system for loyal members. Pity because the external facility and concept are unique, May need better management? Or adapt price/ performance.

Located on an inviting street in the banlieu of Saint Lambert, the hotel part of the club has historic character. The surrounding area (with the exception of the old church) is not as charming as it consists mainly of garden apartments. The pool is a good size (25m) for swimming laps but too warm --29,5 degrees on the morning that I swam. I also appreciated and benefited from the tennis in the bubble on a rainy morning. The rooms are pleasantly designed with exposed wooden rafters. To be improved upon: The rooms suffered from dim light as windows are small and the desk light didn't function. Also, the wifi connection was problematic in the early morning. My biggest complaint is the bedding. Instead of a fluffy feather filled duvet, a non breathable ---perhaps wool or synthetic flat cover--is used as the insert. (I did overlook the two unsavory long hairs found on the pillow). Additionally, I wasn't thrilled by my steak and French fries that I had for dinner. Bread also wasn't the best.
