chill and fancy hostel; one of the best hostels i’ve ever been to. also, they have a clean and spacious bathroom :)

It was a really nice hostel with a vibrant community. The kitchen is very convenient with free tea, coffee, spice and mils. I stayed for two night but it be great for a long stay too.

Probably my favourite hostel so far. Modern, chic (with the cutest minimalist-industrial design) with facilities like multiple lounges across the different floors, a roof deck, etc! It was clean and cosy as well. And the location was fantastic - near to the Old Quarter and Habour. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer!

The interior design of the hotel is very good, and the rooms are naturally lit during the day. The people in the hotel are very nice and greet each other when they meet. It is a great experience

The hotel is located in the center of Wellington, close to Cuba Street. There are many restaurants, shops and supermarkets, as well as a midnight dessert bar. The room is comfortable and warm, and the staff will be enthusiastic to provide assistance. Recommended.

It's very close to Cuba Street, so it's great for sightseeing. It is a good idea to bring a lock for the drawer under the bed and the locker where you can store your luggage before check-in and after check-out. You can drink coffee and cocoa for free. It was nice to have pancakes and dinner parties on the weekends.

The environment is very good, it is in a prosperous area, it is very convenient to eat and buy things, and it is not far to walk to the scenic spots you want to visit. The room is very quiet, and the layout of the bed is also good. The walls are solid inside, which increases the width of the bed and makes it convenient to put things. The only thing I feel is lacking is that the hooks in the shower room on the second floor are gone and have not been repaired. It is inconvenient to hang clothes in the shower. In addition, shampoo and shower gel are not provided.

While looking for a pretty accommodation, I ended up at marion hostel🤭 I highly recommend this accommodation :) It's right next to Cubby Street and it's located in the center of the city, making it a great location for moving around and sightseeing~! And the accommodation was clean, but there was a lot of smell from the cotton sofas in the lounges on each floor, so I passed on that~ haha. I stayed on the top floor, but there was a window on the roof, so I stayed in a bunk bed, and I was able to see the sky while I rested, which was great :-) And the rooftop is also a work of art. I also liked the sofa right in front of the rooftop!

I had some trouble at my destination, but the manager was kind and helpful. I was worried that it would be noisy outside at night.

Excellent hostel! Truly the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Very great location, great staff, fast WiFi, well-equipped kitchen with oil and spices. Good rooms and bathrooms.

I stayed in the Marion Hostel for 3 nights and i have to confirm the others reviews..probably one of the best hostels not only in NZ but anywhere. Not only the building and facilities that are just so comfortable and made to have a wonderful stay but the Team there! The make you feel at home and pay attention to every detail. Belen was just the best! Always with a smile ready to help, making fresh coffee in the morning..i was wondering if she ever gets to rest because she is always helping you! Definitely i will stay here again with no doubt! Congratulations for such a great lovely place to host travelers!

Stayed 3 nights in a female dorm and have to agree with other reviews, it's a v good hostel. Just feels quality - solid bunks with privacy curtains and big under bed locking drawers, a beautifully converted building, several tv/chill rooms, social activities scheduled regularly, reliable water heat and pressure in the showers, super location near everything (except perhaps the intercity bus drop off - but just hop a bus for that), laundry room, bikes to use...the list goes on.

So impressed with The Marion. Plush hostel, super clean and warm. The host went over and above to support our stay. Our double room was perfect, cozy, clean and the bathrooms were clean and well appointed. Fantastic location also, will be our first choice to stay again.

The standard of accomodation was exceptional. Great attention to detail, with guest comfort clearly placed at the heart of the experience. From check in to check out, high standards were maintained. It’s clear much thought has gone into the planning, design, and function of this hostel. The quality and value of the services provided was outstanding, and is testament to the passion and dedication of a great team that exudes a quiet professionalism in all they do. It’s heartwarming to see a hostel regard budget travellers as humans deserving the best hospitality possible in their limited price range. Just hope that this establishment’s philosophy leads to the establishment of other Marion hostels across the country and further afield.

One of the best hostels I ever stayed in. Clean kitchen, bathrooms and chambers. Option for Ligthart storage is great. Great storage in kitchen for food and everything. Loved that there where al kind of spices, coffee and tea for free. Many Spaces to relax. Good wifi.
