"Walvis Bay is not a large town so hotels are not widely available. Nevertheless, given paucity of Hotels, this hotel did rate high on TA reviews. The car I had booked well ahead of time wasn’t there at the Airport. It wasn’t a good feeling to find yourself in a strange country all by yourself. I had to make a few expensive calls, since I had to use my phone which was on roaming, to the hotel. The hotel reception called the driver and had him return to pick me up. This is Africa so getting angry is a waste of time😤. Check in at the hotel was a breeze and this lovely young lady by the name of Kesia, took care of my check in and during my stay. The room was redone (or so I was told) but WiFi was spotty but usable. The room was clean and had a wonderful view of the Bay. The only downer of the room was that water drainage of the shower seemed to be blocked so one had only a limited time to take a shower before the water overflowed into the toilet. I did complain to the Reception but I was leaving after 2 night so I told them to get it done after I’ve left the hotel. Breakfast was very nice but as being Africa, very dependent on beef. Since I don’t eat beef or pork, I’m always stuck with eggs. There was enough of fruits so I always had a very full breakfast on both days. I had dinner on my first night at the hotel and I must say, I enjoyed the lamb chop which was grilled to my liking and was very filling. Overall, a very nice albeit basic hotel (considering where I’ve stayed in) but very nice staff with a special mention to Kesia. She may just be the youngest team member there but always helpful and friendly. I hope the hotel keeps her there since the guests will always be in good hands."

"Great Guesthouse with tasteful and very useful courtyard and sitting room / lounge. The rooms are spacious and - again - tastefully decorated with comfortable large beds. The location is in a quiet safe upper-middle-class neighborhood of Walvis Bay, a short drive from the pier where we went out to eat twice. Guarded parking during the night for our vehicle, which is a plus. The owner is very welcoming and helpful. Good breakfast included in the price."

"Our stay at Pelican Point is hard to describe in words as it is so different from anything we have ever experienced. The location in the lighthouse on the sandy peninsula is truly otherworldly and one to live to understand. The ocean on one side with its fog rolling in and seals playing in the waves and the bay on the other side with even more seals were such a soothing sight. We stayed at the Captain’s Cove that allowed us to have a 360 degree view from anywhere in our room. We could observe the seals and jackals from the comfort of our room and large private deck. The room was very comfortable, the dinners excellent (fantastic fresh food that was beautifully presented) and our stay a bliss. Everything is on concierge basis (Cain was fantastic and very attentive!) and can be arranged, a true luxury. Special thanks to Theresa the in-house masseuse, her magic hands did miracles! Also, if you like sand driving and have your own 4x4 , then the escort service to the lodge will be a fun adventure as Marvin knows the drill and get cars out when they are stuck (the sand is really deep)! If you don’t, their pick-up service from town or Swakopmund is just perfect and totally stress-free. Absolutely enjoyed every minute here and would go back in a heartbeat!"

"For a city stopover this was perfect. Well positioned. We had a garage which led into a courtyard at the back of our unit. The bathroom is tight but kitchen/seating area spacious. The WiFi was intermittent swopping from one router to another, so YouTube viewing was not great. We felt that adding a braai in the courtyard and a few more kitchen utensils and equipment to attract the self catering market which generally stay for a longer period of time. It wouldn't cost much. The breakfast included was excellent and kitchen staff superb!"

"We stayed 3 nights in an Atlantis Suite. It was spacious with comfortable beds and a comfortable couch (not a sofa bed) in the living room. A door separated the bedroom from the living area. There were 2 reverse cycle air-conditioning units which kept the rooms toasty warm during our cold nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only suggestion is that the door lock tongues need to be lubricated because we had to keep slamming our front door to shut it. We heard our neighbours doing the same thing. We were pleased with our hotel choice with the rooms and the secure parking"

"Overall, we were very happy with our stay here! The rooms are spacious with large, comfy beds. The rooms were very clean with good quality towels and bedding. Nice hot shower with good pressure. The staff were all super friendly and Malani was super helpful and tried to make our stay extra special as it was our honeymoon. They also have a security guard monitoring the parking lot where our car was parked but at no point did we ever feel unsafe in the area. The breakfast was also decent and they had a wide selection of options. Overall I'd recommend this place!"
