My colleague and I hired both rooms and therefore had exclusive use of a fabulous lounge, dining and kitchen area. Motels are expensive in Timaru and this was a relatively cheap options ($280 for two of us in separate facilities), but had much better services. Kitchen stocked with good drink options (including coffee plunger - coffee provided - and pod machine (no pods)). Rosemary is an attentive and friendly host, and we enjoyed her company. G's room (king) had expansive views across the Bay and port, while mine was a good-size queen. We each had an en-suite bathroom, very modern (did I mention the whole place appears to be brand new). It was cold in Timaru at night but we were snug with our own heaters and a lovely heat pump in the open area. breakfast options include continental and a standard cooked bacon and eggs. The bread is home made and wonderful. Was all yummy. We will definitely stay there again. IT is also adjacent to a public walking track that looked very interesting.
