Finca Victoria

We really liked Finca Victoria. It is Ayurvedic but fairly luxurious. All rooms are unique and there are a maximum of about 20 persons in wine whole place. They only serve breakfast, which is gourmet vegetarian - truly wonderful however. There is also a central pavilion where you can grab beer or wine and sign for it to your room at any hour. But this is not a typical hotel room experience. Also, you should rent a car or golf cart if going as it is relatively far from other places you might want to go.

Everything was perfect!!! The staff was nice the rooms were clean and comfy and the yoga was great. I think about the food to this day!! Need to go back for a retreat of many of the wonderful spa treatments I didn’t get for try. I went with my family and although there were not many other children my sister who was 12 at the time had fun!

I spent five incredible days at Finca Victoria this past week, with my sister, niece, and pregnant daughter in law. We started each day with a yoga class in the stunning yoga pavilion, then had a leisurely breakfast freshly prepared by the two resident chefs. The food is natural and organic, and vegetarian, creative and tasty. The property is beautiful and filled with flowers, ponds, fountains, serene places to read or sit, and a lovely pool to take dips in. It was heavenly. We stayed in Corky’s house, which was spacious with plenty of room for 4-5 people. I will be back!!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in one of the tiny treehouses. We loved the lush property, nice public space with the most delicious coffee and tea, and the funky rooms. Our tiny treehouse was very unique, with the bed up in the trees and a great view over the forest to the ocean. The ladder up to the bedroom was a little precarious, so not for anyone with mobility issues. The outdoor shower and kitchen were fun and peaceful. We did the daily yoga, had the vegan breakfasts, and each of us had one spa treatment. We greatly enjoyed all of those offerings. Overall, we loved Finca Victoria; finding it peaceful and rejuvenating. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing experience. Being surrounded by the natural beauty of nature and caring people that went above and beyond for me. My room had a beautiful view, I had visits from humming birds, butterflies, lizards, katydids and the coqui. I enjoyed Maria’s yoga practice she happens to be one of the yoga instructors there. I treated myself to a gua sha massage which was a plus! The vegan brunches were so yummy and filling, I don’t usually eat clean but this was an eye opener for me. I am looking forward to my next visit and already planning it out.

What a special place! Each suite is different; we stayed in the "invisible treehouse" with two floors, an outdoor shower and an outdoor kitchen set into the rainforest. Sitting on the deck in the evenings listening to the insects of the forest was one of my favorite things. Breakfasts were intricate and delicious concoctions made from local produce whenever possible. The common areas were welcoming and staff so friendly. Morning yoga was great. I wish I could have stayed for weeks. Of course noplace can be absolutely perfect, so here are a few things to note: Paths are uneven, not always well lit at night and can get muddy. Our cabin was floor-to-ceiling windows and TBH they were pretty dirty; the invisible treehouse is also close enough to the main kitchen that we could hear the cooks' conversations and they could hear ours when we were on our deck. If vegan, dinner-like breakfast food isn't your thing you might not enjoy the breakfasts. The coffee was not great quality and they added cinnamon and cardamom which just didn't do it for me in coffee. (We ended up making our own at our treehouse with their provided supplies.) But all of these are quite minor compared to the experience of staying immersed in the rainforest.
