When I checked in, I was asked if I had a reservation, and when I answered "yes," they asked me which booking site I was using, and when I answered "Trip.com," they said that if it wasn't a〇oda, the room was fully booked and I was sent away. After that, with the help of Trip.com, I was able to check in by rebooking a queen bed room (Trip.com covered the difference), but the front desk was the same as the first time, and again there was no apology, and I was just given the key and that was it. It's hard to imagine that they were turning me away just that day, so I think it's better to take this possibility into consideration when making a reservation. I always book cheap hotels for backpackers, so I can't really compare it, but I think it was quite old for a place that cost just over 5,000 yen. The bathroom door didn't close, and opening and closing the room door was quite a hassle. There were amenities other than shampoo.

Apparently I got a bad room, the shower only had cold water. There was no partition so even the toilet got soaked. Water kept dripping from the air conditioner all night. On the plus side, it was cleaner than I expected and the breakfast was delicious.
