Hotel Orion

Unfortunately,despite being well located, the rest of the experience was not a good one. Being on the third floor means carrying suit cases up and down very narrow stairs with no elevator. Damp room so beware if you're allergic to mold. No kettle or hot water for coffee or tea available. We forgot our brand new MacBook laptop charger plugged into the wall in the room next to the bathroom. After moving to a new hotel and realising it was forgotten we came back the next day to be told it was not found and that furthermore we were late checking out and so this was why we likely misplaced it. Clearly, they kept it (worth €100) and tried to shift the blame instead of just saying was not found despite being hard to miss as soon as you open the door to the small room. Terrible experience. Beware your valuables as this is a touristy hotel in a touristy area so reputation is not valuable to them, as there are always enough people looking for hotels right next to Doge's Palace .

This hidden gem is around a minute walk to San Marco square and 5-10 minutes to Rialto Bridge so you can really make the most of seeing these iconic sights whenever you like. The room was basic but nicely furnished and the employees were amongst the friendliest i've encountered. Very helpful and even arranged a lovely birthday treat of putting a bottle of prosecco in the fridge to chill whilst we were out during the day! There is a mini bar service available with a selection of alcoholic, soft drinks annd water which were the same price as the shops around the area, handy if you fancy something without leaving the hotel. The breakfast was good with choices of cereals, breads, meat & cheese, yoghurts and pastries. You could have coffee from the bean to cup machine or freshly brewed. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting venice and want to stay in the centre.

Handy location, close to all the shops etc. Good size room and nicely decorated. Very clean with comfortable beds. Helpful friendly staff. Really good breakfast. On the negative - no drink making facilities in the room. A shame that the lovely breakfast room, was not open during the day. I’d definitely stay again if we were to return to Venice.

Lovely hotel right in perfect walking distance to all the sites in Venice. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and tidy. Would recommend this hotel for a nice little break. Everyone at the hotel made our stay a pleasure. Would stay here again

This was such a cute hotel! Totally fits the vibe of Venice. Staff was very friendly and always present. There was a nice patio out back to relax at too. No elevators, so pack lightly! We were on the sixth floor walk up, and the wifi didn't reach our room, but we just sat on the patio to use that. The AC didn't work great up there either, but it was all manageable. The location is unbeatable, maybe a 2 minute walk from St. Mark's Square.

The best receptionists I've encountered for a very long time. All of them. Friendly, professional, efficient. Very rare nowadays. As for the hotel, great location right in the centre, a few steps from St Mark's. It's clean and comfortable (and warm for winter visits) with everything a normal traveller might needs and it is priced very reasonably. Yes there are stairs so probably wouldn't suit the elderly but for anyone else it would be a great choice! I will certainly recommend it to everyone! And, again, the best staff ever!
