"It was a clean hotel. The room, cars, towels, etc. smells very nice. We took the day view deluxe suite. There was a lot of a large terrace. A bedroom and a hungry kitchen, two sofa bed, dining table, mini-ice box TV etc. There were two air conditioning and *** meat was beautiful. Breakfasts were very good. So, the uncut-person breakfast is probably enough for 5-6 people. There is a pool, but we didn't use it. I think there isn't even 50 meters in Azmak, very close. I'll probably stay here again when I come back. I'm surely recommending it."

"Please don't come here, and ruin it, by making the place too popular...! We can honestly say we have never felt so welcomed and comfortable at a hotel. There is nothing not to enjoy about this place: peaceful - clean - top notch facilities - beautiful location - too much tasty food for breakfast - the staff are just fabulous, so friendly and happy, nothing is too much trouble. The staff noticed it was my birthday... that evening we had a knock on our door and had a little chorus of Happy Birthday sang to me; streamers set off and a nice little plate of fruit to enjoy. Special thanks to Asli - she just has the most loveliest smile."

"NEVER go to this hotel. You will be disgraced with your money and they ruined our holiday. We called the day before to make a reservation and they asked for a deposit, which we sent, and they never called us to inform us. When we arrived at the hotel, they said the room we reserved was empty, showed us a different room in a filthy condition and demanded much more than the price we agreed on. Our holiday was ruined. The owners acted as if this was normal and kicked us out when we didn't pay the price they showed us. This action ruined both our day and our holiday. We searched for a room in the heat for hours. If you end up in such a situation, you will be disgraced with your money. Santo Akyaka is a regret!!! Don't trust this place and never go here."

"This was a hotel I'd stayed at every year since 2019, but the management changed this year. A woman named Derya was in charge, and she completely disrupted the beautiful hotel's operations. The guest density was far too high for the number of staff. This affected everything, from breakfast service to room cleaning. We stayed for four days, and despite mentioning it every day, we had problems with room cleaning. And I won't even mention the breakfast. The service received was problematic considering the price paid."

"This place was truly an unforgettable experience. We randomly came across it during this Aegean coast trip and the architecture drew us in. Once we got there it was like nowhere else we’d ever been, full of art, nature, unique decor and spectacular sea and mountain views. On top of this luxurious environment, the hosts were so friendly and welcoming - it’s a family-owned women-run establishment and the mom (Muge) is the architect. I wish we were able to spend more time there, but this will only be the first of many future trips… thank you for hosting us so well."

We were shown two rooms, one in the basement, under the stairs, and the other on the ground floor, which was abysmal. Despite our objections, we had to stay because we had already paid. "We stayed at Baga Otel for 7 nights in September, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is situated in a small cove outside of Akyaka, it’s right on the waterfront, and has a small beach, a pool, and several decked areas. There were plenty of sun beds, and the swimming was gorgeous, as the cove is a mix of warm sea water and cooler fresh water from the nearby river. The hotel building itself is set back a little from the waterfront, but we could still hear the waves lapping from our room, if we left the window open. Our room, whilst on the small side, was immaculately clean, as were all the public spaces. The bathroom was nice, with a powerful shower, and decent towels. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and pillows were of reasonable quality. The wifi was strong in our room, and also throughout the hotel. We got the impression that the hotel was mainly used to hosting Turkish guests, so the staff didn’t really speak much English, and at first they were a little reticent when dealing with us. But once they got used to us, and we tried out the few words of Turkish we knew, they were reasonably friendly. We were there on a bed & breakfast deal, and the Turkish Breakfasts we were served were just fabulous. Whole trays full of jams, eggs, cheeses, fruit, bread, borek, and cakes, along with coffee and Çay. We ate at the hotel restaurant most lunch-times, and had dinner there one night. The food was good, and it was reasonably priced. Most nights, we’d get the reception to call us a cab to take us into the town, a five minute ride, with a fixed price of 100tl (about £1.50) and eat at one of the many restaurants there. We really enjoyed our stay at Baga Otel, and our visit to the lovely Turkish holiday town of Akyaka. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, although if it’s important to you that the staff and locals speak perfect English, then this might not be the resort for you."
