"I booked a deluxe twin room, and the front desk service was very friendly upon check-in. The only thing is that the room was on a mezzanine level, so we had to take the elevator and then walk up one flight of stairs. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the location was convenient with all sorts of snacks available downstairs, right on the main road. It was pretty good. The breakfast also had a good variety. Recommended!"

"There are many restaurants nearby, and a shopping mall across the street with a supermarket. Breakfast was standard. There's an ATM right on the hotel's exterior wall. A really frustrating point was when I wanted to book a car to El Djem Colosseum. The front desk told me not to bother booking and just take a taxi directly. However, when I was ready to go, no taxi would pick up the fare. At that point, the front desk then told me taxis don't go to El Djem and I needed to book a car a day in advance. In the end, I had to go to the bus station to catch a mini-bus. I asked the front desk to help me input the bus station address into a taxi app, but they entered the wrong station. Luckily, the driver told me the correct one, otherwise I would have wasted a lot more time. All the other services were good, but this particular issue – if you don't know, just say you don't know. Giving incorrect information is such a hassle. Also, the city tax was charged twice, which many others have already mentioned repeatedly."

"I had an absolutely infuriating experience at Normads Hostel. Despite making a reservation two days ahead and confirming it multiple times, their communication was a complete disaster. They kept pestering me to confirm the reservation, but when I asked for specifics about the room, they deliberately ignored my requests until the last minute. When I finally arrived, exhausted from a 180-kilometer journey, I was appalled to find that the room I had clearly requested for just my mom and me was shared with other guests. The staff only responded to my concerns through messages when I was practically at the hostel, seemingly to cover their own mistakes. The worst part? They tried to scam me by demanding payment for all four beds in the room, even though we only needed two. This outrageous attempt at overcharging felt like a blatant fraud. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare, and I would strongly urge anyone considering this hostel to think twice!!!!!"

"Outside views are definitely stunning and location is great with close proximity to the beach. The private beach itself is well managed with plenty of chairs and space, so I had no issues there. But some bad points: - Almost all the staff except bell/room service and pool team had an attitude to them! And when I say all, it’s quite literally across the board. Restaurant staff (esp. at The Breeze) were the worst - Security at the car way is very high, which in theory is good, but none of my friends or I had the “clear tourist” look (white European etc.), so each time we came back in a yellow cab we were asked if we were guests and to give room number. Felt uncomfortable after a few times - Hammam was shocking in the morning - dirty benches and beds, used towels, spa rooms all with doors open for some reason, unmanned, and glasses/cups left everywhere. I did one quick spin around and left straight away - Broken kettle in the room Overall I think there are much nicer mid tier options around La Marsa, or if on second thought I would have gone more north for the other more expensive group"

Easy access to shops, restaurants, the market, and major landmarks. It’s also a safe and friendly area. The staff was fantastic, especially Chedi at the front desk. Rooms are simple but extremely clean and they met my special requests without hesitation. I highly recommend Hotel Roma and will stay here again on future visits especially consider value for the affordable price."
